Hi, I have a Honda Dio SK50 1998 scooter. I am able to get it running with 2 kicks of the kickstart but it won't stay running when I let the throttle off. Also when I accelerate to the max it runs fast then slows down then accelerates again, keeps doing it.
I don't know if it's the carb or if i haven't sealed the the engine with gasket seal. Any help would be appreciated

IT IS LEAN, NEEDS MORE FUEL: First check for AIR LEAKS, make sure the carb is not leaking around the clamps and or the intake manifold has a crack or is leaking where it attaches to the motor. Also check your air filter make sure no extra air is being sucked in from cracks or open connectors. If no leaks then go and read this and adjust your Carb following the procedure for your type of carb: www.scooterdoc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=intake&action=display&thread=7863Alleyoop

I've got a photo of my carb below, just noticed that there is a little bit of oil in there from the oil line, when I mixed up the lines. Would this affect why my scooter is not running without me giving it a little gas? and why it is slowing down when I accelerate then speeds up then slows down? (keeps repeating) Also could you help me out with the car adjustment. Says default setting for air screw initial opening is 1 - 1/4 out from closed. Don't know which screw is for the idle and air screw sorry.

The screw in the centre with the philips head is the idle screw. The one to the left of the idle screw is the air screw.
