see how rapidjimmy try to wash his hands? and i quote---> "I will say that not all chinese scooters are created equal"
clones are clones, the reason why it was called a "clone" it's because it was pattern from the original / a replica using a lower grade quality material. just like cloning a goat or a cow, getting DNA's from a chromosomally aberrated living tissues then create another lower form of living individual mostly becomes sickly and do not stay alive like the orig host. i thought you know it, you guys dissapoint me everyday. tsk, tsk, tsk!

Yawn. How can we disappoint you when we actually ride copies of successful designs. We enjoy riding our scooters. AND since you have no qualifications as an engineer, designer, constructor or materials tester how can you say they're inferior? I suppose you have a Rockwell tester in the garage. Facts, Luke, facts.
I heard from the same sources as you quote that the reason they stopped making the Morphous was because it was inherently unstable, too heavy for its brakes and made its shocks collapse on the back tires causing numerous fatalities. Yamaha bought most of them back to prevent expensive lawsuits. Is that your phone I hear ringing? I'll bet it's Yamaha calling to buy your living room decoration back.
In the meantime I'll enjoy riding my enjoyable riding Fashion, a replica of a very successful design. No trailers here.
BTW. the original Zuma 125 was built in a Chinese factory, look it up, by SYM. I'll bet your defective shocks were too.

They were doing the fud thing when I bought the majesty too. Told me you just can't get chinese parts when I mentioned I really wanted a new chinese big scooter (250 or better). When I found you can get chinese parts the next day and there were no parts in this country for my yamaha that was only 4-5 years old and the same engine as current model I would have loved to meet back up with the a hole who sold me the majesty and done something to the side of his head. I had only bought a few parts to upgrade the 150 at that time. Getting the numbers for honda clones here will probably be hard to get as few importers give figures but just look at all of them in 3rd world countrys and they run forever there. possibly if some one had a in at a few states dmv or the us dot maybe we could find some thing out. WHAT? you were at a Yamaha dealership with all those nice, beautiful top of the line scooters and mc's on their showroom THEN here you are telling them that you prefer a chinese scooter where you can get parts the next day?? wow,,you got some balls sir!..lol ;D,,they'd probably looked at you from head to foot... it's a mortal sin to even mention the words "chinese scooter" on an italian, japanese, american bike dealership for christ sake. it's like riding your 50cc in Sturgis or Daytona bike week...LOL

I think the Chino scoots are fine for local use and daily riding. The fact is they are just not yet close to Harley or Honda or Yamaha when it comes to metals... That means wear parts shorter life... Look at a chino 250cc motor and a Honda 250cc motor and see which one has the most HP... Now with that said I remember when Honda and Yamaha and a few others had the same problem, but were also a lot cheaper than a Harley. As they got better over the years the price got better too. China just is not there yet. They have been making motors for scooters but not for the USA. Here in the States we have high speeds and can ride cross country and our demands are different. I think in a few years they will be as good as any other make...they are selling a lot of scooters now and are going for more of the market.

That's not to mention the faulty fuel injection lines popping open and causing all those vehicle fires. OMG! 0-65 in what? Oh 6.6 minutes, now I get it. LOL It's good that you can laugh at your scooter's inadequacies.

Leave it to you to take something out of context. Just like not all Japanese Scooters are created equally, or all American cars are created equally or ect ect ect. For someone who is so uninformed as you are to make the comments you do is utterly ridiculous. I still don't know why such a Chinese Hater like you are is even doing on this board. But, I do get a laugh from your posts. Have a nice Day Luke or should I say FUD

Not to start another struggle on another front but this is totally apples and oranges. The last time I checked the CF Moto Jetmax engine with four valves makes the Honda Reflex and Helix motors look anemic. Even Luke's sausage has the same or less ponies and a heavier weight to power ratio than a Jetmax. In terms of printed horsepower the Chinese CN-250 has the same power as a Japanese version. What makes it slower is the RPM ceiling, but only for top speed. You'd be foolish to run any Japanese 250 much higher than 65 for long. I know that from my experience with the Big Ruckus.
My buddy stays at 60 mph on his Ruckus. That's why the new Forza is a 300cc, to gain some more top end.
I expounded on the do's and don'ts of Chinese scootering. My Bashan will still be perking along for a long time on its original lower end and piston rings. It would be the same for the top end if I hadn't screwed up tightening down the head. Even hemorrhaging oil it still ran like a Yamaha Vino, only for less initial cost.

LOL....6,500 rpms is just under 70mph on a Reflex with GPS and tach. I can do that all day long too, and have over 12,00o miles on it. I am not bashing Chinese scooters Luke,Kz... I have had a lot of fun with the Magnum 300cc but I am now ready to ride any where I want and feel the comfort and safety of one of the largest Scooters. I also like the fact that I can find a Honda Dealer in almost all towns and they have a parts department and they know the parts.

westernmass.craigslist.org/mcy/3981462717.htmlTrue Mike, but I'm still not seeing engine issues on China scoots, just detail problems stemming from bad importers ordering cheap parts on what they sell. As you noted you personally know of an abused high mileage 150. I wouldn't flinch at taking any of my China scoots on a long trip.

Had I bought a chinese scooter I would never had to wait a month for a piston and 8 more days for a pair of brake seals. I would have been riding every day since I took delivery. And would not been bashing yamaha as I would never have known what a piece of s h i t they have pushed on the american public. I have a top end overhaul due to their bad bad design of the air intake on the majesty. I think just about any idiot short of luke could have taken that engine and designed a scooter frame and body with out yamahas defects. I have a $1000 more in my majesty than what it is worth thanks to people who support manufactures who make mistakes and then don't carry parts for their abortions.

Here's what I know John. When I got my first look at my 150 scoot five years ago I was stunned. A new motor scooter for $1200 with cast aluminum wheels, a fuel gauge, a trunk under the seat that opened from the ignition and it all worked. I was expecting pot metal by the pounds, steel wheels, drum brakes and a lot of work to get it all going. I would sit there after I got it and checking it over and go, "Just who do you think you are?" I had a 650 Kawasaki at the time. It didn't have a fuel gauge, it didn't have cast wheels, it didn't have an auto choke. It cost me $4200 and was $6600 when new. It had a battery that was no bigger than the scooter and it ate it every three years.
You know what else? I found that if you do your homework you find an online dealer that offers and stands by his warranty. When you need a part he sends it in less than a week. Say what you want about GS Motorworks and the MCO problems you had. I notified them on Friday morning and had it in my hands Monday afternoon, one business day later.
I have no complaints with my Chinese scooter experience and Luke's ravings about how great his scooter is doesn't faze me in the least. He's a child by comparison to me. I've done the long rides, earned the big trophies and seen a lot of America, and Canada, on my bikes. Now I ride for fun. and to prove that a scooter can do anything a bike can. My ego is secure and my riding abilities are unquestioned by the people who count. Including the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.
