Well now you know why it was so cheap, I would call them and say you sent me the wrong belt it is a 871 and not a 856 and tell them they can measure it and see for themselves. Alleyoop

just got off the phone with the belt place... they said that I have the 856-23-30 belt.... but it just measures 869ish.... they said that EVERY 856 belt that I would order would be the same....
SO WHERE DOES THIS LEAVE ME?
I assume that my old belt is an 856-23-30 as well... and the measurement cannot be determined by the outside length.... THAT is where the CONFUSION of which belt is correct on the Linahi....some people think they have the the 870.... because thats what it measures at.... but really its an 856....
Comments? I could be wrong.... but I think i am correct on this one....
Only way to prove me wrong is... ANYONE Else with an 856 belt... measure it and show me I am wrong.... or even a pic of another belt that actually measures what the number on the belt says..... SIMPLE enough right?

Nobody wishes to contest my assumptions?

HAHAHA, if they don't have a spare they would have to work at it just to measure it. So your assumption must be right(HAHA). If they said that then put it on and it hopefully will not flap around.
Also when you do go and put it on see if it goes on over the boss easy or do you have to pull the Clutch pulley open and push the belt down some to get it to go over the boss. Alleyoop

Guys, guys. I can't find the thread but Rich went over this when he replaced the belt on his Fashion. His didn't measure 828mm either. If anything the measurement is on the inside or halfway down the belt. Put the belt on, it's right.

You still need to make sure it fits on the shaft tight as shown in the thread link above. If it fits too loose then it is the wrong one for your scooter. If it fits tight it is the correct size belt. Below is the picture I am referring to. Does it fit like that, or is it loose?

Yeah ordering a new belt was a waste of time and money for sure... thanks alley! Couldn't have wasted it without ya! Belts do not measure around the outside in accordance with the first numberon your belt... don't let ANYONE tell you that your belt is way too long cuz ot measureas too long on the outside... I am not sure exactly how the belt manufactures come up with their numbers.. but It is for sure NOT THE OUTSIDE LENGTH!!
but as far as the belts themselves go.. these belts are perfect for spares... I would reccomend them as spares.. but not as main belts.. keep this one in the garage and put the powerlink on it..

Look at it from the bright side, your old belt was stretched and slapping around now you will have a new belt and have a spare. I hope you did not buy a cheap belt because you will be needing the spare when the new belt breaks and or shreds. So make sure you carry it on the scoot along with tools to slap on the spare and not keep it in the garage otherwise you will be pushing it home or having it towed. Besides your selling it anyway this way you can tell the buyer I have a new belt on. Alleyoop

The belt is STILL SLAPPY.. both old and new... and yeah I am gonna sell it.. but I think I am gonna part it out on ebay.. seems to bring more money 1 piece at a time.. I just seen the exact motor sell for 700 on ebay... then the frame... and all the little things.. maybe I will come out even...
