$3390 for a 125-really? Isn't the SYM Wolf three grand and the CCW 250s in that neighborhood.

Even the new 150 Hondas are over priced, but I talked to a guy in my park that got one and he loves it. Little rich for my pocket book.

I think they are going to price it right out of the market. That is just is a ridiculous price for a 125.

Got it figured out: All they want to make is great big stuff with tons of hp. Lots of big money there. People are begging them to make little ones so they double the price....if they sell..big profits...if they do not sell, blame the chinese.

If you stop to analyze it if yamaha really wanted to be in the small bike/scooter business don't you think they would do a little better promoting it with the dealers? The yamaha dealer where I got my majesty has a show room big enough to house almost 50 bikes in a brand new purpose built building. Decent storage in a metal building for at least 3-400 bikes, an decent sized ill equipped shop area and a parts dept that is basically an empty room with steel shelving and almost nothing on the shelves.

What I never understand is why the Japanese think any one will buy scooters smaller than motorcycles that cost the same money. The new CB 500 is $5500, so is the 300cc Forza.

I could see the rational if it was just the Chinese they were competing against, but they're not. Kymco Super 8 150-$2500, Honda PCX 150-$3500. Yamaha Zuma 125-$3390, Kymco Agility 125cc-$1900.

Rail on about the lack of quality in Chinese scooters all you want, but the Japanese aren't just competing with them. Piaggio sells comparable sized scooters for less too. Not to mention SYM. Nutty.
