Hi all!
I have a new VIP 150cc scooter that is about 2 months old and has 25 miles on it. For the first month or so, it started up and ran just fine. Recently, it sat for a few weeks and now when I try to start it, it fires up initially, sputters and then stalls. If I try to give it gas, it dies instantly!
I would take it back to the place I bought it but since I bought it in the box and had to assemble it (put the front wheel and handle bars on it), they will not support it. I have included a video of the problem. Any ideas? Thanks!

Have you made sure it's getting gas freely to the carb? That would be my first step.

I haven't really done anything to it at this point. When I fire it up, the second I touch the throttle, it dies. It's almost as if it's getting too much gas. If it were a starvation issue, I would think things would improve when I give it some gas. It's just the opposite.
This scooter is literally brand new. It was fine before I let it sit for a few weeks.

How many weeks did you let it sit??
When it starts try twisting the throttle a little not a lot just keep twisting it a little, twist, backoff, twist backoff like that but just a little not a lot and see if you can keep it running. Alleyoop

25 miles? That's 2 times around the block where I live! What kind of gas and how fresh was it when you filled it up the first time? Stay away from crapahol the alcohol/gas mixture from hell.

Alleyoop It sat for 4 weeks. I filled up the tank and drove it around the neighborhood for a few days before parking it. Once it starts, if I even try to touch the throttle, it dies instantly. Also, If I give the throttle a twist and then try and start it, it won't fire. I have to wait 15-20 minutes and then try again. It's almost like it's flooded??
