i have 50cc taotao thunder with close to 5000km. when i leave it sit for awhile (overnight) and try to start it, it makes a whine sometimes, sometimes it starts to turn over and fires. once i get it started it idles up and then once it idles down it keeps going down until it stops. if i get it started and can keep it running and take off,once its warmed up it runs fine. when i drive it before its warmed up completely it dies when i come to a stop. but fires right back up. air/fuel mixture is good, valves are good. cant get the screws out of the top of the carb so i can clean it. could it just be i need to clean it? or could it be something else?

Check your enricher on the carb, Take it off and lay it on its side and tell me which of the following it looks like:

NOW cover the hole with your THUMB and start the motor and HOLD IT THERE FOR at least 3-4 minutes and see if it still wants to die after it starts with your THUMB OVER THE HOLE.
