I was just surfing the web checking out all the usual suspects when I came across this. cfmoto-us.com/productsNo scooters. The banner and product listing used to have the Jetmax and V-5 listed but they're gone. CF Moto Australia says that CF Moto will introduce new offerings at EICMA next month so maybe it's part of that. I'd hate to think they're running away from the scooter market.

I talked to Cookees about that and he said that appears to be what's happening but it's hush hush with them. They're moving more into ATVs and the motorcycles. It looks like the scooter parts are going to be around for a long time which is what I was concerned about.

CF Moto Australia seems to be more active in promotion and I'm encouraged by this news bit. www.cfmoto.com.au/news/?catID=&newsID=261&action=viewEspecially this: “A joint venture between CFMoto and a major European motorcycle manufacturer is underway and a global announcement is now imminent. “The benefits of this joint venture will be tenfold and will provide CFMoto with an immediate burst of knowledge and inspiration particularly when it comes to on-road motorcycles,” said Mr Poynton. CFMoto Australia also hinted that there will be a raft of significant new models and model updates revealed at EICMA, the world’s largest motorcycle exhibition held in Italy, next month. “I would strongly encourage all to keep a close eye on the activities of CFMoto at EICMA next month and pay particular attention to the new motorcycle and ATV models because they will be in Australia as soon as 2014,” Mr Poynton said. How come the Aussies get all the good stuff. I love that Leader 150.

Here's my take: CfMOTO has just announced a venture with KTM. At first glance that looks great... except when you read the story it appears that the deal is that CFMOTO will now offer the KTM product line in China. To THEIR dealers. Kinda like the Harley- Zongsheng deal. Harleys are now being sold in Zhonsheng dealerships in China

KTM!! That's no deal. KTM has ventures with everybody. Even Polaris tried and gave up on that one. Oh well, maybe CF Moto will keep making the scooters and bikes and come to their senses about selling here.
