Good luck, I did not know the specs on that bike then I looked it up and saw what it was and the specs on it. Just hope the case is big enough to put in a descent size piston on it without having to bore it out. A couple of CCs will not help so don't even waste your money if a small BBK is the only thing that will fit. You need to bump it up 15+ ccs to get some good noticeable power out of the motor. Hes looking at 150 kits now that don't involve machining the cases, hes thinking along the same lines as yourself .
Would a performance CDi help with an altered ignition curve?

A performance CDI will help a little, the advance will get a little more power out of the motor and put in 1 gram lighter rollers to reach the 7K rpms and see if it does better on the hills. Alleyoop

Great!! That is what I suspected, but had to be sure, OK, you can improve the hill climbing it won't be a rocket but a heck of a lot better than what it does now. Put in lighter rollers in the Variator to get the rpms up your weights are to heavy. I would get 1 and 2 gram lighter weights and see which ones work the best for your motor. If you have the CVT tuned right the motor should hold the RPMS maybe loose a couple a hundred or so and only loose the mph due to the weight.
Also getting 1 and 2 gram lighter weights you have THREE possible setups:
If say you get 5-6 gram weights, you can try: 1. All 5s 2. All 6s 3. 3-5s -3-6s= 5.5
And halfs effect the way it runs quite a bit

for the 125 and it only runs around in the 6K range and can hit 50mph I would think they would be around 13grams or so. I also think it is geared high for it to reach those speeds with only 6K rpm range. I would think it is not to quick starting off and getting up to speed. But take them out and if you do not have a small digital scale take one to the post office and ask them to weigh it. Then you can order lighter ones. So what ever they weigh I would get two grams lighter to play with and it will make a difference. You will notice more quick starts and getting up to speed quicker. Normally a 150cc scoots run better with 11 to 12 gram weights to keep the motor close to it's powerband.
P.S What does the other half ride?
All bikes or scoots are all basically the same, motor, electrical, fuel, tranny, cvt or chain driven etc.. They all need the same thing to roll down the road, actually same with any car. The parts may be different but they all do the same thing.
Yea it is a shame on some forums or some folks just get on people that get on the forums. Folks come on asking for help with whatever because they do not know certain things. I always tell the folks no question is a stupid question we all learn by asking questions. Alleyoop

I've looked the original weight up , it says they are 17g , so maybe we will go for a 13 or 14 ?
The other half rides a proper bike!! lol ( pfffttt) ;D Crappy brakes, crappy 6Volt electrics but goes like the proverbial off a shovel (his words) lol yamaha 2 stroke RXS100 on a 1990plate, 12 BHP and only 99 kilograms..
At the moment hes trying to find out if a RD200 fuel tank will fit on, just give him more capacity

WOW! 17gram, yea get 13,14s and don't forget you can also use 3 of the 17g with 3-14s and 3-17s would then be at around 15.5.
Now keep this in mind: Rollers will change your rpms UP or DOWN by anywhere from 500-600 rpms. So you don't want to go to light your rpms will climb like crazy over the redline of 7K and will also loose top end speed. Sliders will change your rpms UP or DOWN by anywhere from 200-350 rpms. And on Sliders once you find the right weight in ROLLERs that you like you can switch to SLIDERS but you get 1 gram HEAVIER SLIDERS than the current Roller weights in there Due to the difference in RPM changes. With Sliders you get smooth ratio transition plus a little more top end and your rpms will be basically the same as with the rollers(WIN WIN). Alleyoop
