I've checked my odometers and I think I know the difference between km and mi. I only use 12,000 miles as a mark since ALL the authorities throw it around as a point which I'll never make. I know 100,000 miles is not easy. I had to work hard to get my old Kawasaki there. Since you have to know what happened Randy and why I don't hold the five head gaskets against the Bashan. Here we go, get popcorn since this will be a long story. In 2008 I bought the Bashan and noticed that it wouldn't run flat out. Sadly I fell for the carb adjustment myth and never suspected this. Yes, some robot had grabbed the exhaust pipe wrong and welded over a third of the exhaust outlet. It caused the head to overheat and the valves springs cracked and broke. An outer intake and inner exhaust. I had to remove the head and get them replaced. Plus a new exhaust pipe. Then when I reassembled it I overtightened the cam tunnel bolts and cracked the head. See the result of my mistake. In the process I caused an oil leak. Was it the scooter's fault? No, I did it to it and it did the same as it would if it came from anywhere. It cracked and leaked oil. For 4500 miles. I replaced the original head gasket (1) with a new head gasket when I cracked it (2). Then I replaced it two years later to try and stop the leak (3). A year later I tried again before I found the cracked head (4). I finally replaced the head I cracked and installed a new head gasket (5). Was the cracked head and oil leak the scooter's fault, No. It was mine. If I had done the original head job right. No leak and no multiple head gaskets. When it does reach 10,000 miles it will be in spite of me not because of me. Now Randy, tell me? How far do I have to go to get the nonsense to stop? 10,000 miles? 20,000 miles? 50,000? 100,000? All easy for me. You see Randy. I've already shown that I have the ability to fix these things and get 18,000 miles out of the team. Let me know what will satisfy the "Super Scooter Crew" so I can set it as a goal. Chat among yourselves and tell me what you and the others decide. In the meantime I'll be riding and adding more miles. Yes, miles. You see my Fashion reads in miles and mph, the Bashan in miles and mph and Rocket shows speed in MPH and distance in KM. You see I do know the difference. After 52 years of riding I have learned the difference.

I know all about the Trans Canada trip. Somebody can do anything on anything. Remember the overloaded Chinascoot in the desert? That doesn't put it back in production. A C-3 is another ugly, underloved, out of production, unsold Yamaha. If it was a sales success it would still be made. You and I both know that the new Vino Classic and Zuma both have the C-3's engine. Guess what? The magazines love the motor, hate the scooter it came from. You want to buy a Yamaha, buy the ones still in production, not the ugly illegitimate child it came from. I do notice that Yamaha didn't put the Morph motor in anything, yet the Linhai engine lives on in Europe in the 250 Majesty. Hmmmmm. Troubles bubbles?
Of course a Chinese 50cc is just as good and much cheaper.

exactly,, Morphous was immitated but is never Cloned... cloning is when you take a physical part out from something to create another thing. Thats why morphous is unique in everyway. please tell how can a chinese do a 3k mile trip? when it's simplest part --->the valve stem pops out, it happens even on a brand new chino scoot. would you take the risk of riding to the desert , alone with that kind of scooter? my goodness!!

Excuse me, they didn't totally clone the Morphous because it has such an inferior powerplant. They did make a copy at Sunny Sports though with a vastly superior engine, brakes and chassis. When did your Morph do a 3,000 mile trip? On ship over from Japan? I don't know about valve stems popping out. All mine are original. How about yours? Sure I would ride into the desert on mine. That other guy did it on a 50cc China scoot so it must be safe. The Trans Canada people can't do it on a C-3. It would overheat and blow up. I wouldn't trailer any of my bikes, even the 50cc bike on a short 174 mile trip. Can you imagine anyone doing that? Goodness gracious, great balls of fire. Say isn't that the theme song for a Yamaha Morphous?

Yeah, it's cool isn't it? I get questions about Rocket all the time. "What?? 135 mpg and it goes 50 mph? Seriously??" When I tell them it's Chinese but is as good as a Honda for 1/4 the price they want to know where to get one.
