Do you remember that your Morph is on recall for vulnerable electrical connections and a fuel pump leak? Stuff happens to everything. Just spent an hour looking and found no cf dealer with in 500 miles that had any thing new in cf out side of atv's

cylinder head failure due to dirty air filrer is a result of negligence... and impatience to clean air filter and impatient to wait for part to arrive to his doorstep.. lol, the problem is not mechanical, its the rider himself.. Lol
on the morphous recall, again it's not a parts failure, it's the positioning of the fuel pump coupler, yamaha thought( which i dont) that the coupler is set in such a way that it can potentially capture water from rain and ruin the wiring, to me no need for a recall, a simple 99 cent silicon rubber can seal it. its jus yamaha is so careful no to ruin their reputation.
but the chinese scooter company has no reput. to ruin,,,, LOL
jct, pls clean the filter so kz wont make you a bad example LOL!!!

I am not sure as luke says it was negligence, when I bought it the damage had already been done. Once wear starts and gets to the point of no return the wear accelerates even if fed clean air. The big problem with the majesty is the bad bad design of the air intake. I has two expensive paper filters one on either side of the bike with air and dirt sucked up off what is kicked up from the front tire. When they were new there was no after market filters and those two plus the transmission filter were sold only at yamaha dealers for around $92 total......plus tax! The previous owner skipped putting a set in and the cyl was scored. Once scored the wear continues till it dies.
I am not wishing a big bad repair on any one...... but should it happen to some one riding a yamaha .....I am waiting for all the crying about how long it takes and how much it costs. A chinese scooter would have been repaired the same week and it took over a month just for the parts in my case, from a yamaha dealer no less.

wowoweee, i'm so impressed!
What percentage of members here have Chinese scooters ? If the the rest are a small minority why stay? I don't drink in gay bars when i get thirsty! Nothing against you i just prefer have babes around. Dont make sense to continue punishing yourself by being a 3rd wheel.
