Oh sure Dave, and that's all you think about..... money? Next you'll tell me is that hanging a BMW sticker on your scooter will make it just as good. Dream On. I'm a govt accountant so what can I say? And im pretty much a total idiot about most things, but I do know about how to not piss away good money. My scoot may not do a cross country, but its never seen a trailer and is a real chic magnet It serves me quite well with my leg issue, so guess I'll press on ride safe my friend dave

Listen guys. I started this thread as a tongue in cheek shot at the insane prices of some two wheeled rides. Thirty grand for a bike, really? It makes a $2000 Chinese 250cc scooter look free and you get the same enjoyment if your head is there. Heck, an $800, 50cc scoot is a gift.

Back in South Dakota, I can buy a nice house for $34K I saw a gl1200 trike for $5K and still didn't bite I'm sticking with what I got and be quite happy Thanx again D

You can bet your last dollar that if BMW contracts with ANYBODY to build and or produce parts or bikes that it will be built to BMW's specifications and build quality. BMW is not going to comprimise there reputation and integrity having it built by ANY inferior supplier. BMW goes to great lengths enginering and building quality products. In fact they are the only auto producer that requires aircraft quality aluminum in there vehicles. I sure don't see an assembly line that produces 3 Geelys and then 2 BMW's Any supplier that they have would be under the close eye of BMW.

I sure don't see an assembly line that produces 3 Geelys and then 2 BMW'sWell of course not, Geely owns Volvo. They were behind the design of the new, sleeker cars. Loncin has been building BMW 650 engines for about five years now without reports of epic failures. Contrary to popular myth, the Chinese will do exactly as they're told. "Build us the cheapest piece of crap you can" Yes they will. Build us a Piaggio Fly 150 that's as good, or better, than the original. Yes they will. www.justgottascoot.com/piaggiofly150.htmThe Fly 150 shows Piaggio can do when they try. The tolerance on seams is tight and uniform. The body panels line up perfectly, appear to made of high quality materials and are beautifully finished. Those beautifully built panel are made in house by Zongshen.

i ride with pride, go figure!!! i dont want to ride a scooter that sputters, ive been there, and it gave me tons of embarassment. when i see a person here riding a scooter, most of them are winter visitors, i told myself this guy is living a disposable life! , for me i dont want to get old and end up riding a chinese scooter, mygad, life is short, i dont want to make it shorter, id rather get me something that boost my ego! morphous is just perfect for me in everyway.
look at magoo for example, i dunno if he ever owned a chinese scooter, but i see he owns a yellow reflex,a quality honda scooter, and lately he bought a silverwing another honda, this guy knows his thing, we get into this hobby not to fix but to ride. i you park 10 scooters with different brand names, i can easily tell which one is chinese scoot and which one is not just by looking at it. my eyes can easily detect "cheapness". japanese scoot is never colorful, its never shiny because its the performance that matters, not the decieving looks. if you notice, most of the maxi japanese scoots does not have a kickstart right? that alone spells confidence! the starting mechanism is just solid and does not need the help of a dorky kickstart.

Blah, blah, blah. You wouldn't know a Reflex from an unmarked Roketa from a Totinos Pizza roll. You need a Japanese scooter to ride? Excuse me, and you trailer your Tub to San Diego, why? Because it won't make it, that's why. I ride with way more pride than you. My scooters are capable of going 200 miles without beating me to death (like yours) and because I've prepped and maintained them to be able to do it. if you notice, most of the maxi japanese scoots does not have a kickstart right? that alone spells confidence! the starting mechanism is just solid and does not need the help of a dorky kickstart. If you notice none of the Chinese maxi scooters have kickstarts. They start as often as Japanese maxis do. AND a kickstart isn't dorky. Electric starts were put on bikes because the Japanese have to sell to everyone. All my motorcycles have had kickstarters and I was glad of it. You can bump start a bike, how do you start any scooter with a dead battery? And you owe Randy an apology. www.genuinescooters.com/stella4.htmlTake note Luke that a "Dorky" Stella has a kick starter. I ride with pride, go figure!!!I can't. You could have had much better equipment for the small fortune you spent on the tub. Heck, I'd take a V Star 650 or Honda 600 Shadow over a Morph any day. Scooters are supposed to be economical not cost an arm and a leg.

Once again Luke is talking out his A$$. Hey Luke you ever going to answer my questions about your credentials? ? Inquiring minds want to know. I will take you up on your eyesite and get 10 different scooters, debadge them and see just how good your eyesite really is. BTW most "maxi" Chinese scooters don't have a kick start either Show me a kick start on these www.icebearatv.com/product/pmz300-11www.icebearatv.com/product/pmz300-c-fwww.icebearatv.com/product/pmz250-c-fwww.roketa.com/product/product_detail.jsp?cateID=2610&sonCateID=0&proID=27312www.roketa.com/product/product_detail.jsp?cateID=2610&sonCateID=0&proID=55193www.icebearatv.com/product/pmz250-h1The list goes on
