I'm sure it is to some people. I've just never fallen for it in the vehicle sense. If I get 100,000 miles out of something it's just as good as the high priced spread. Borg had the right idea. Search CL, find a deal, run with it and not worry about "Mystique". If I'm to take a step back from playing business/marketing guy for a moment... I personally agree with you. Matt |

He also discovered it still had some crud in the carb when it cleared out and took off even faster. anyhow, vespa is a vespa... no less!Didn't you call it a "Girl's Bike"? We'll see about the vaunted "mystique" when i actually start riding the thing,,,(the et4) ,,(and yes luke the et runs perfectly),,,i'm not brand specific by any means,,i could care less about hype,,out of 50+ bikes the dr350 i'm riding now is easily in the top 10 if not in the top 5 bikes i've owned ,, a CL find $1000,,, a few mods and bam!! a very nice ride for well under 2 grand that will blow the doors off of any vespa short of a race prepped one and get better mileage to boot,,and it's an antique,,,(94),,every manufacturer has had their turkeys even my bmw r1150r had a recall for a very serious fuel tank coupling leak problem,,,i've seen the 949 nice looking,,great styling, probably have another cult classic on their hands,,,worth 10 large? for me no way jose,,it's not 10g's nice,,and again my lowly dr350 would kill that thing dead in every aspect but one ,,,looks,,,the dr looks like a tractor,,it's kinda like a pug dog,,it's so ugly it's cute,,, it's not that vespas aren't nice,,, hell i own one!,,, and jumped on it as fast as i could because i wanted one but i couldn't justify $5900 for it,,,but lucky hapenstance on CL i got it for $1500 with 88 miles,,,and i'll be as pleased as i can be when i find my next victim on CL,,no matter where it comes from,,

AAAAHHHH the old "GIRLS BIKE" saying,,i used to hear that BULLSH!T about my sportster till all the windbag blowhards found out the thing would rip 10 second quarters even with my fat a$$ on it,,,then it all got quiet,,,
