I had a 47 Ford that had some quirks, but 'bounce on it' tells me sumtins loose

what makes me think that as well is that the light was dim and then when he fixed the float in the carburetor to get it running again the lights were working bright
then it started to get dim again...

Okay so this is just a thought... what if I replace this do you think it may help me.
I already put a new CDI box, gas filter, and a gas valve, I am going to get me a Stator Magneto. I know these parts are parts that should have been replaced a while ago so if its not what I need then they were parts that should have been replaced a while ago.
I found this wire harness on a site for my scooter it states on my scooter its a Jonway It also has YY-150T-12 so I am trying to make sure the parts are what is needed in it.

Sound a like regulator/rectifier..... Wife's 250 same as you describe quick easy fix.
