Yikes!! Actually missing a descent portion of my left "Your Number One" Finger. CR50 ate it. Wow a bunch of response for a simple valve adj. I'm not here to talk snit just pass on what I have experienced. Yup One Finger Each hand and Compress the Spring. On my Stock OE Head I can set to .004 and easily fit a .006 in and I am compressing the Spring .002 I have my 61mm Big Valve head with its springs and Two other Mfg's springs. All these Springs are Junk, Valve Train Room # 101, To Combat Valve Train Harmonics the Windings of the Two Springs go in Opposite Direction??? I haven't got anyone on the Phone from these vendors who can tell me why There Springs go in the Same Direction. One Set of Spring is Marketed as Titanium?? My World Today is Ti Lollipops. The First thing I did was put them to a Magnet, They Stick?? Ti Don't Stick,So I called them and got the answer of its a Ti Coloring, Oh? Genuine Fake Ti, Great1 Mo Junk. My Third set are supposed to be good to something like 14 K? Same junk, Winding's going in the sam direction, All Look like Coils From a Book Binder. Once I settle on a combination I will post up Valve Opening/Seat Pressures for all. A Little Experience Perspective, I have One, Count that One, Pro Stock Team that runs a Partial Schedule, They Buy in Excess of $110,000 in Valve Springs. Ride on!! Clone

Not to start snit or anything but I have a 62mm bbk with a 60mm stroker crank and not one problem with the springs, have over 6K miles on the bbk and runs like a raped ape. Also hundreds on here and other forums do not have any problems with their OEM or BBK valve springs. So I would question where your getting you parts. If your building a race engine that will bottom out the tach then I would have them specially built. Otherwise to much to do about nada is my take. Alleyoop

No problem Clonedrone, it's a forum, we throw things out there and folks can use it or not. That's why there's the IMO abbreviation, it's my opinion. Maybe I'm right or maybe I'm not...of course I AM right! HAR! No one on this forum should ever be hesitant to offer an opinion, advice, or ask a question. The Great Stinky by the way, Cyborg named me that.

Yep, facts and experience only come when one actually does the thing. I have blown motors, clutchs, trans and rear ends on the strip. We always used to haul 2 trailers with us just in case we had to limp back a broken hotrod.
By the way what is the name of the race team and where do you guys race. Alleyoop

I am calling you BRO, you came on strong toting a lot of stuff that you really haven't done. Granted if you are a Lolli Pop Man you are around it but nothing to do with building anything. Just want to bring you down to earth a little your dealing with someone that has build motors with just a bare BLOCK in front of him. Just so everyone knows a LOLLI POP MAN in races is the guy that holds the sign so a driver knows where his stall is when they come in to get service. Alleyoop

It could possibly be that we both have something to offer but Please don't go over board toting all this stuff when you are only a Lolli Pop Man at the races. Alleyoop
