Hey Alley, is that easier than Photobucket? Maybe we should start recommending that one instead. PB has gotten kinda hinky..says the Great Stinky. Gaahd...kill me.

Well it is easy to use but I haven't tried videos. I think you have to join to do videos. Now Photobucket converts the videos to MP4 and then adds an IMG link to the url so when you copy the link and paste it IT is just a picture(HAHA). But you can get around it by deleting the IMG link attached to the url(SORT works OK). But your right photo bucket is getting a pain to use. They definitly are trying to make you pay for pro membership. Alleyoop

Gaahd...kill me. since the v5 change , on a mobile device I can not enlarge the screen and the tiny pic does not link back . Tiny pic is very hard to see on a mobile device . Photobucket will link you back to the photo bucket and you can enlarge the pictures . John

Ok I don't even know if my pos multimeter has all that stuf yours has shown. But I'll get on it soon. All this is being done from a phone so I'll see if I am get my pics up for you. see how that works. I don't know much about multi meters so tell me where I need to be putting it to do my tests.

Middle for black? Right hole for red? Just to make sure about all these settings on here.

Yeah, black in middle...red on right. You don't have continuity function on that....it makes it more problematic. Set it to 200 at the very bottom of the meter. That's 200 ohms. The meter would lose the continuity and it's tone at 60 so it's a really low threshold that it thinks it's a bad circuit. So do the same method I described above only watch the meter and consider anything over 60, OR if it shows OL, to be a bad circuit.

Ok with meter set at 200 ohms black grounded to engine and red to the red/black wire my meter reads -03.5. Stator plug wires same way black to motor red to white wire no reading yellow same green reads -02.5. If I stick one probe in the yellow and one in the white wire at stator plug I get -02.5 also. If I put one probe in the green and probe the other wires I get no reading on meter. I hope I'm doing this right. I hate electrical. But with y'all's help I'm determined to get this. And then I'll order my 11 pole conversion for it.

I'm sorry, I was unclear. Put one probe on the white wire and one probe on the yellow. The ohms function sends a small amount of current through the probes to see how much resistance there is between them and measures it in ohms. I'm talking about the 200 at the very bottom of the meter within the green of the omega symbol...NOT voltage. You should not get a negative reading with ohms....it's 0 or up. Then test yellow to green, and white to green. Then test probe on green and one on frame. Then test the pigtail on the bike side. Test the green to frame. I have some diagrams somewhere....I'll look.

Hey? Are you SURE you have the right flywheel for this stator? The coils have to match the magnets. Six with six, eight with eight, etc.

next to the regulator you have a ballast resistor check the ohms .
