I agree with Alley. The clutch is glazed and the pads are slipping. It's a pretty easy fix, but you need to take it slow and take pix at every step so you can put it back correctly. If you do that, you should have no problems fixing it. Had the same exact problem.
Now that I think about it, I've had so many problems with mine and fixed them that I could probably open my own shop. LOL

You can look at this one. It's not exactly what you'r looking for, but it will get you going in the right direction.

Thank you guys.
One question how do you open the nut? When I try to open it the wheel is turning with it. I bought an electric impact wrench but didn't try it yet.
I dont want to break anything. I am also assuming thar it is the part on the back wheel.

Just put the impact wrench on the nut that is holding the BELL and go LEFT to unscrew the nut then just pull the BELL off and do not need to take anything else off and unglaze the pads right on there. Then put the bell back on and nut and tighten up the nut with the impact wrench 3 1 second Raps on the impact wrench is all you need DONE. Alleyoop

You mean the clutch bell is turning with the impact or what? The clutch bell is tied directly to the rear wheel through the transmission. Get the rear wheel on the ground and the bell won't turn while you're using the impact. Or you could hold the bell with a strap wrench. Rich

New problem. I think that the nut is tighten too much because when I tried to unlock it it basically smoothed the nut (from the outside) I did make sure it goes to the left and I could tell from the thread that it is suppose to be the direction. Now I need to somehow remove that nut and get a new one (maybe something stronger). it is a 17mm nut. any idea how can I take the bad one off?
This is very upsetting :-(.

Go to the auto store and get a nut splitter. No, not the blonde behind the counter.. This thing will cut a bad nut in two with no trouble. Then you just have to get a new nut to put it back together.
Or, I've heard that you can put something on it so that the wrench grabs the stripped nut. I'm going to say toothpaste but I know thats not it. But it is something fairly common. I just can't remember what... LOL A lot of good that does. LOL

Hi Guys,
This is very wired. I rode the scooter today to get a nut splitter and surprisingly I had no issues at all. it was about 16 miles ride with the usual stop but it didn't vibrate even once. since I bought this scooter today was the first smooth ride. it is possible?
On my previous ride I took my son with me and the scooter died on me and vibrated and all and it was a shorter ride.
Any thoughts?
Regards,
David

Well, like Alley says, "what happened to make it change?". You were trying to get the bell off so I have to assume that you vibrated something loose and got it working again. Going through the list of parts that would be affected it was probably a tensioner arm. I have a rule I work by, if it did it once, it will do it again until it's fixed. I'd get the nut splitter, AND the girl behind the counter. Rich

I did get a tool to remote the nut. I am planning to replace it with a new one which I got yesterday.
At the same time will take a look at the clutch and other parts to see is anything stick out.
I watched a few videos about the transmigration and the video that Alley posted on this thread (very helpful)and got an idea for what to look for.
Thanks for your comment / advise.
Regards,
David

I was able to remove the nut. Checked the pads on the clutch and the inside of the bell. Send it a bit and cleaned it.
I need to take it fot a ride and make sure it runs good. I and up using a tool called nut remover which worked out well.
Thanks all for the great advice.

David

Mine started acting strange and a weird vibration too. I ordered a new clutch and variator. Runs good now. Now I noticed what it was causing mine to shake. The clutch spring would open when going fast, but when stopped the spring held the belt still, half way down. This would create a bad shuddering and feel like the scooter was about to fall apart. The belt should come back all the way out on the clutch pulley when stopped. The clutch is new but the variator may be loose or to tight, causing a similar problem. May need roller weights. My scooter still acted this way after replacing clutch and variator. The clutch was on tight and so I left it alone. But took of new variator and noticed it missed the teeth on crank shaft. Did not damage the crank shaft but done minor damage to fvariator fan. Still put back on and now belt is in correct place and engine excellerates great.
