1. After listening to your it's hard to tell. You have it in gear and the motor takes a bit to idle down while it's in gear. I do see a problem that I might have with mine tho. I think I have too many teeth on my sprocket, I don't think mine looks like that one. 2. I have the air adjustment turned 3 turns out. Does the idle sound rough to you? smg.photobucket.com/user/hobbles/media/Judy/Trike/trike%20temp/better%20idle.mp4.html

Well, it starts better and it idles better and it even sounds better, but it still don't idle back down to an idle fast when I hit the throttle. I'm not used to these motors, are they supposed drop like my chevy or ATV does?

Standby. after I hooked up that vac line and added the extra air filter pad, when It started up, it did not rev as high. And I think the idle responds quicker. Let it warm up and I will re adjust the mixture and be back.

That line goes forward of the gas tank. It is tie wrapped along the frame. It MIGHT go to the dash. I will need to pull panels to find out.

On this one. I got the bottom smaller line goes to the hose from the valve cover. The middle big one goes to the muffles. On yours it looks like the one from your muffles goes to the top one, Doews that matter? should I change mine?? as for the spare one on mine, I have no place for it to go on my air filter. Should there be a hose on the top of this thing-a-ma-bob? No the round canister. Check this canister and see if there are is another hose connected at the bottom and where does it go. Alleyoop

Well, good call on that one. There is a place for another vent line hiding on the bottom of the canister. And it looks like a small vent line. The same size and the lil hose that was stuck in side the line coming from my valve cover. I will go hook that up now and hear what happens.

If by CANISTER, do you mean that black box? If you mean the air filter, then no, nothing else is hooked to it. I can check the box, all I have to do is pull 6 panels off the left side. I have already pulled the 6 off the right side 3 times, I'm good at that side. I guess I could practice pulling the left side for a while.

The vac line from the air filter goes to a Y. One end goes to the clutch housing and the other goes to this thing. No other lines are hooked to it. as for the foam filter that is being held in by a cotter key (and vacuum) I pulled it and cleaned that out with with gas till no more black was coming off it the day I got the trike. But, since you mentioned it, I thought I would pull it and check it out again. Then, as long as I had it out I got a scrubby dude from the Wife and added it to the unit. You can see through it just as good and the stock one. So now I have two to stop the dust till I get real AIR CLEANER.

UP DATE,, Mornin Boys. I re ran the vac hoses, it now looks like this. These are my spare parts now. Now, for the big question, I started it up when it was cold and turned down the idle so it won't try and pull forward like I did before, but,, this time when it got warm, it DIDN'T STALL! So, the question Issss, does this idle speed sound about right??? If it does, then I'm done with the carb. Cool, what's next to work on?

Are you sure there is no adjustment on the chock? When I loosen the 2 screws that hold it I can turn it like an auto matic choke that is on my 63 chevy.
Just asking,,

On the choke, Mine runs way to fast on startup. I have to adjust the speed or the trike goes forward and I can hear the trans banging,, a lot. Then when it warms up, it stalls and won't stay running. I have to re adjust the idle speed. Something is not right with that.
