parsonsj11, hope you get it the way you want it took me some time. My CDI went also and I got one at a local shop, just take that one with you to a local shop that sell chino scoota/atvs and I think about 30 bucks and they will match it up. I think nine had about 4,500 miles on it when I sold it. If your doing 60mph you are churning well over 4,000rpm more like 6,500 to 7,000rpm

I would rather have a Yamaha 250cc than a Lanhai 300cc. Kz you have a Honda 250 and you want to say a Chino 250 is better??? You know what...For what they cost they are great and give some a chance to have fun that do not have the money for more costly machines.

It says right in the owners manual...not for high way use. It is a utility make... They are a blast to ride once you get all the bugs out. If you keep it around 50 mph it will be fine.

I never seen better than 50mpg on the Magnum 300cc. I think most of the time about 40 2pmg..

The one with no plastic can you ride it? Does it run? Is the trailer broke or what is going on.....OK, I see I missed a couple post, it run fine. Good deal for some one I would get it if you were close. I still think it would make a nice little trike and I am sure parts would be faster for it than trying to get a simple motor part or cable for an Ice Bear 300...

I just sold my 300 2010 Magnum and I found the best rollers are 12g and 13 g I think is what is in it now. Sure sounds like it is valves, I find they run better at .004 intake and .005 exhaust, I also see you said you did the valves.

May very well be but the plastic is off and when it is done you can get 100,000 miles on it.

Well it has to be worth $500 if it runs. Man I hate to deal with the plastics, some one will pick it up. I think it would look good as a little trike for around town.

I just may be there as I may go to OK and AR very soon have to see what this storm in the Gulf is going to do and change a few appointments and may ride up. Maybe I can see if Lee wants to ride over with me. I think it is only about a hour ride...

LOL....6,500 rpms is just under 70mph on a Reflex with GPS and tach. I can do that all day long too, and have over 12,00o miles on it. I am not bashing Chinese scooters Luke,Kz... I have had a lot of fun with the Magnum 300cc but I am now ready to ride any where I want and feel the comfort and safety of one of the largest Scooters. I also like the fact that I can find a Honda Dealer in almost all towns and they have a parts department and they know the parts.

I think the Chino scoots are fine for local use and daily riding. The fact is they are just not yet close to Harley or Honda or Yamaha when it comes to metals... That means wear parts shorter life... Look at a chino 250cc motor and a Honda 250cc motor and see which one has the most HP... Now with that said I remember when Honda and Yamaha and a few others had the same problem, but were also a lot cheaper than a Harley. As they got better over the years the price got better too. China just is not there yet. They have been making motors for scooters but not for the USA. Here in the States we have high speeds and can ride cross country and our demands are different. I think in a few years they will be as good as any other make...they are selling a lot of scooters now and are going for more of the market.
