Is there a way to back off timing on my scoot. The timing is so advanced that it wont start with the electric start. With the key on and the switch on the handle bars off it cranks away. When i turn the switch on the handle bars to on it doesnt crank very well so im thinking it is to far advanced.Took it for its first ride today hit 52 on the factory speedo ran out of road still had more.Im pretty happy with how it runs.Any help would be appriciated thanks

Well I put it back together with 1 base gasket. It starts up but only with the kick starter. It would do the same with 2 base gaskets. So I'm not sure yet this is my first time owning a scoot.I guess learn as I go.You guys are big help thanks a million. The top end on this thing is a little loud I set the valves at. 004 I'm going to check them again tomorrow.I will keep updating thanks again

ok i did a compression test it reads 210.And yes i did replace the head with a scrappy dog big valve head.If i put a charger with a boost on it it will start and runs fine.and if i kick it it will start that is before i broke the half gear in the side case.I tried a new starter does the same thing.Any help would be great thanks
