Thanks for your help. I made a gasket for the valve cover and it worked and solve my problem. I am just wondering if a should have installed a second gasket. It seem to run well with the one gasket. No oil leaks.

I installed an engine rebuilt kit on my 1985 Honda elite 150. I am having a problem adjusting the valves. When I place the valve cover onthe new head and torque it down it opens the valves and I get no compression. If I loosen the valve cover bolts a little the engine will run and I have compression. The adjusting bolts on the valve cover will not adjust far enough to relieve the pressure. Any help would be appreciated. please note the valves on this engine are adjusted externally on the side of the valve cover.
