Hooked the security system back up, and now the scooter shuts off with the key.
At last, now to assemble the cowling and etc.
Thanks so much for your assistance in getting the scooter back running again!

Ok, got the scooter to turn over, checked and have good spark, but still will not start. Is the a way to check the electrical end of the carburetor? Seems impossible to remove the carburetor. Have removed the cowling with access to carburetor, and do not how to remove it if I needed to. I really do not what to do.

Update: Did get the scooter to start for a second on starter fluid. Now, can the electric part keep the carb from working? Is 5 volts enough on the green wire?

Replaced the carburetor and the fuel pump, still no start. The green wire going to the carb has 5 volts. The yellow wire has no voltage when cranked or not. Can you tell me what should be on these wires going to the carb, and what/where to look to correct the issue? That again so muck. Little by little we will get there... I have it back to be able to connect the gas tank. If I need to I will disassemble enough to spray starter fluid in the carb. But, the wires going to the carb ( in particular the yellow) should have some amount of voltage, should it not? Thanks again.....

Did get the scooter to turn over with very good spark, will not start. Is there a way the see if the electrical part of the carburetor is working? I have the cowling off but cannot see how to get the carb off if I needed to. At another impass.. Will again appreciate any suggestions.

Update: Someone suggested the security system could prevent the scooter from starting. I disconnected it from the wiring, and the power now comes on to one side of the connection to the starter relay. However, the other connection does not go to ground with the tail lights engaged. Any suggestions?

Break lights working but no power to starter solenoid. I unlocked the connection to the solenoid, grounded the meter and tested for any power at the solenoid wire while the break handle is connected with break lights. Can you tell were to look for the source of power for the solenoid is generated from the break handles being pushed? Thanks so very much for your help. I sure would like to get this thing back together.
