I have purchased a new impact wrench to remove the variator nut but it doesn't want to budge. Now I know everybody tells me that it's a normal thread but according to my Haynes manual some have a left hand thread depending on how the kickstart mechanism is configured, therefore unscrew clockwise. Basically I daren't try any more incase i do any damage. Any advice? by the way i have a 125cc 152qmi engine on a TGB304 sport.

Thanks for the reply. Yes incredibly this seems the only option open. I have never known such a badly designed scoot to try to do basic maintenance on even gettting the plug out is a feat in itself.Great bike to ride but not to work on sorry TGB but the design sucks.

I was hoping to adjust the valve clearances but when it came to removing the valve cover there's a great big piece of frame right infront preventing me from lifting the cover away.Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you solve it. Thanks in anticipation

Thanks. I'll try a bit more torque on the variator nut

On this photo the variator is removed whereas I haven't got anything to remove it with not that i need to. The cog on the far left doesn't seem to sit flush with the back of the case for some reason therefore the middle sprocket seems to lie behind it and not mesh when pushed into place.I have followed the guidelines to the letter inc positioning of the kickstart return spring. Thanks

I saw a thread on here about putting the kickstart mechanism back together so I thought i'd give it a go.Can't seem to get it sorted it seems jammed when you apply pressure to the kickstarter.Any help appreciated
