Hello,
I was messing around with my scooter, its a Chinese VIP future champion? think its a GY6 variant, the wires going into the cdi fell out of the harness clip. trying to figure out which wires go where..
A picture of a similar scooter with the wires plugged into the cdi would help a lot.
Thanks.

could be part of my problem, the wires going into the cdi have really bad connections on the crimped metal sleeve., a few don't look like their making good contact with the cdi pins.
off to radio shack to find some more.

How long was it sitting in a garage? Take the coil off the Plug on the motor and stick the old plug on the coil and Ground it to the Frame and crank it and see if you get sparks. If you do then ground it to the engine and see if you also get spark there as well. If you only get sparks when grounded to the frame then the Ground wire from the frame to the engine is not making a good ground. If no spark from frame or engine, check if the kill switch is off and it is on the center stand(some have a kill switch on the sidestand so make sure that is up). If all is good there then You need to start traceing back which part is bad. 1. Put back the Old Coil and try it. 1. Put back the Old Cdi and it . You can also PULL the KILL WIRE from the CDI just in case the Kill Switch is bad. Here is the Wire to Pull off the CDI to make sure the Kill switch is not causeing the no spark. Alleyoop I was getting spark on the frame, but now I'm not getting any, I check all the ground/earth connections, and reconnected them. Center stand is up, I've also tried the old parts, coil, cdi, plug. I'll go try to bypass that kill switch wire now. Thanks

Hello,
I am really frustrated with this scooter, It was sitting for awhile in a garage, I bought a new battery, new carb, new cdi, new coil, new starter, new petcock, new spark plug.
It ran for about 5 minutes then bogged down and flooded, that's when I ordered and replaced the petcock, now I can't get spark.. I just tried a new plug too.
Its a VIP future champion, Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
