Rich,
I agree with you, they have a tough job. My brother is a 30 year veteran police officer. I respect the job they do, along with firefighters. Not everyone is cut out for that type of job. As an example, most of us would run from the direction of gunfire, police officers run TOWARD IT! Thats the difference, fireman are the same, we run from fires, they run to them.
That officer was having a bad day no doubt, I remained calm, which goes a long way in diffusing what could have been worse i suppose, even though I hadnt done anything wrong. So, to all that read this, the next time you see an officer, fireman, or US service member......thank them for the job they do.........it goes a long way.......they may be saving your arse one day!

Hey All,
I have been in the industrial teflon coating, powder coating and industrial offshore paint business for over 25 years. I was "retired" during a merger in June, and presently working on starting my own business doing the same thing. I currently hold 6 patents for industrial Ryton liquid and powder coatings, and should have the new business up and open by October..............yes I am going into my own business during this economy..............thats either confidence or ignorance..............time will tell I guess.

Trikes are wider in the rear than I thought! It was his fault not mine. I got pulled over to check my scooter! ! This officer was flailing his arms saying i cant ride this thing on the street, after he walked past my license plate and MC inspection sticker in plain view. He let me go, however, he was still standing near the front of my scoot, when he said I could go after he had checked my license, ins etc. My rear wheel ran over his foot! OOOPPPSSSS! It was his fault not mine, and it was on his dash cam I'm sure. Gave me a good laugh...................bout a mile away...............He didnt come after again................. Alley..............Your a life saver! I found the fill plug behind the sprocket. I did take it out, got out my cajun injector syringe, shortended it bit, and squirted the lube oil right it. I took it out just so i had a vent.
Was done in 10 minutes.
Your a smart one! Thanks again for your help.

Ok, I got a problem here and I need some help fast! I have drained the oil on my 2009 Ice Bear 150cc trike, and cant find where to put the gear lube back in at! There is no fill port I can find at all.
Do I just take the vent hose off and fill it from there, and if so, how much gear lube goes in there? I dont want to over fill it and have gear lube shooting back out that vent hose.
Scootover...................needs help on this one!

Jc, where would the magnet be located, I think that may be the problem. I am not registering MPH, odo or trip meter.

My speedo was working find. I took a hundred mile ride yesterday, and just before I got back home, my speedo is not working. It is digital, not mechanical. Any suggestions guys on where to start. I have checked the wires to the sensor and it appears ok.

Ok, I found the real problem. Alley had told me in a PM that I may have to adjust the cable if I reached under the dash to activate. Mine was not working with the key! Im a noob, I thought it was an electric release. The cable was not even hooked up at the key! I hooked it back up, and adjusted it. Now, it opens with the key like it is supposed too.
Im learning.......its a pain in the butt getting all that plastic off that thing I know that. IMHO, the T-handle in the fuel door, is much easier to use. Guess I will be better at this stuff soon.......I am picking up a 2010 300cc Magnum today that I found for 2000.00, so get ready for the questions, cus this one is idling as rough as a vibrating bed in a cheap motel!
My family now has the scooter bug, I cant ride mine cus my sons are always on it!

Ok, I have to share this everyone with a trike on here, it may work on some scooters also. I just bought a 2009 150-11 trike from a 70 year old guy in my town. He had a dead battery once, and coulnt get the seat open to get to it. Well, he figured it out, and he came up with an ingenious fix for it also. Most Trikes have a locking fuel filler door. He made a small cable with a T-handle on it, and crimped it too the seat cable routed to the rear towards the seat, not the front toward the ignition.
Which is how mine opens, from the key switch. If your fuse blows, or battery goes dead, just open the fuel filler door with the key, pull the T-handle, and Viola!, the seat opens.
Smart old coot! So, do this little fix the next time your have your scoot apart.
ScootOver............Im coming thru! ;D

Ok Folks.... Here it is. I called Jim at Rapid Repair. Thanks Jim. On the 150-11 style trikes, the horn is under the front nose cone and windsheild. Jim has pics of hot to get to it on Scoot Dog. The connections were real soft aluminum, and wouldnt stay tight to keep the horn working. I changed the ends on mine, but them back on the horn.........VIOLA! I now have a horn.......but its sure is hidden. Thanks again Jim! ScootOver.................and I mean it! Cus I got a horn now, and you WILL get..............horned! Or is that beeped.........hmmmmm.

Alley;
Do I just unscrew it like a regular zerk? I dont want to strip something out. Does a regular zerk fitting fit in the same hole?
Or, do I have to drill and retap for the new zerk?
