I installed the auto choke and that's good for now. Had to have my trunk support welded. So I reinstalled the trunk too. Check the plug again. Looks good so far. Reinstalled the performance CDI.
Just the belt tomorrow and test drive Tuesday.

How fast is the bulb blowing?
If right away, then it's got to be the rectifier. if not maybe the bulb is getting water on it? That would do it. Mine was doing thus. I had a headlight assembly the had melted and was obviously something started this. But once I replaced assembly, it hasn't done it since, I need some cyber wood to knock on, 🌴 or 🌲, 👊🤜🤜.

I didn't follow my mantra one change and test. I did get a bit faster.
I'm still waiting for the 818 belt. Comes Monday I hope. I will install it and the new auto choke.
Will test on Tuesday ride to work and back.

OK, I started at replacing vacuum hoses, Changing the jet to the 112
Installed the Malossi variator and dr pulley 13 gram sliders. Took out the air filter intake and inspected it and replaced air filter anyway.
I left in the casoli performance CDI with advanced timing curve.
I am going to drive a bit get it warmed up reset air fuel mixture.
Then WOT for a bit too check the plug right afterwards for lean condition still.

Can anyone tell if the timing on the new performance CDI is lower at idle than the stock CDI? Old OEM CDI New CDI with timing light. Do one change and check results.

OK, so I went back to OEM variator, belt size 13 gram sliders, got new CDI and took it out for a test drive. Nothing, no change, no deviation from getting too 45or so. It might have gotten higher but the world is only so big, roads are only so long. So let's review.
The carburator is new and the jet is a 110 just like it was when I used to get 55 mph and 80 mpg. Everything else is same as it was when I got 80 mpg and 55 mph. It's cold but it should only affect by 5 mph maybe. The only thing I cannot verify is the belt size as they just threw on something else and I cannot get an answer from Lance as more than one engine was sent out for the 125cc in 2013 for Cali classic.
So,... Now what?!!!!!!!😞 😭 😠

Oh! The drive home with the OEM parts was pretty cool except the auto choke not working. 1st gear still missing but past that zoom! At least until 45mph. Do one change and check results.

Auto choke broke. 4th one. Ordered a new one but when this one goes I'm getting manual setup.
The bearings in driven pulley are worn. I get to replace them too, yeah. Got to re grease it all. But I have 11350 miles so might be time.

Our government tells gas company's to switch from winter to summer high octane or not when they switch I'm not sure. Oh, well this has been happening for 2 years, still not fixed.

I reinstalled the OEM drive face variator outer and inner. Using the 13 gram sliders and the OEM belt 799 x 19 x 28 and the "1st gear" is still missing of course but everything else is great up to 40 to 45 mph. Just kind of levels off on going faster. I did get to go faster on a slight down hill. I got up to 47 mph or so, Yeah!, and it was cold, 37 degrees so I'll take it.
The size of the belt I ordered was an 818 x 19 x 28. so other than the length the rest is the same.
I truly hope the CDI coming fixes the MPG and MPH issue cause I'm at a loss as to what else to check.

The 835 belt still send too long. But I have done some measurements and it's still not the 799 but is closer to 818 to 824, so I ordered something. With luck, anyway

remember your gas switched to winter blend could that be a issue? What is a winter blend? Right now I just use the high octane only.
