Ger... it is a pitta but only the 4 bolts in the cut out on the rear deck than the side bracket mounts, I think you have 4 of them I only have 2 on mine and the wheels off and pull her up and back. Al, it is nothing like your 150, wish it was would make things much easer Mike That is the way I remove it but I can't get mine off without also removing the lic, rear and side panels.

16 screws to release the plastic from the frame. They are not easy to remove. 2 on top have nuts holding them the others screw into the frame. Each one has a rubber grommet and a metal sleeve. I don't think it would come off without removing the same panels as I do now with it attached to the frame. Also have to remove the wheels. If you come over I'll let you try it yourself. ;D

On my 150 I just take the 4 bolts on each fender and take the whole thing off as one piece. I never take the center section off that has 5 bolts on each side(HEHE). Alleyoop Well ain't you the lucky one. ;D Mine don't come off that easy.

Yep 1,000 miles and I'm still on the original one...but it is streching out. Probably change it this summer. Mike did you buy a stainless chain? Motorcycle one? GER if you do adjust the chain lift the trike and make minor adjustments at a time (less than one turn at a time to get the tightness you want.) GER I don't have any pixs but I'll call you to talk it thru if you need me to. I'd like to see what mods you guys have done to the rear of the trike. The chain deal I have done it's just a pain and a bigger pain with the faring on but taking the faring off is a big pain.

Tighten up the chain is a pain in the arse... I have one more chain left than am going to a motor cycle chain as that is noting but chain saw driver there... you can get a 10 ft section for nothingf at the farm store, that is what Lee and I did. They are great for streching..... I had some heave duty adjusters made for my rear adjustors, if these wobble out of round something is wrong. Mike Can you post some pictures of what you have done? Lee how about you? Do I change the chain now or wait until I have problems with this one?

I got some 3/4 sq tubing that I'm going to use to raise the rear faring. Looking to see if I can do it without removing the faring. Getting the rear faring off requires removing the tires, the lic plate bracket , rear seat and 3 other pieces. Big pain in the arse.

I'll turn the OLD 70 in April. When some young whipper snapper says they are old my come back is usually. "I'VE GOT HEMORRHOIDS OLDER THAN YOU". I go to the other forum but don't post. The BORIC ACID concoction seems to be taking center stage to everything. It reminds me of my neighbors big push for Mona-Vie. It was the cure all for everything. He stopped selling it and taking it after about 6 months.

Lowered the psi to 11 and went out for a 25 mile ride. All went well I kept up with traffic (45mph speed limit) but when I wanted to go faster the acceleration was not there. Trike pulls well to 45-50 but sort of dies after that . Not sure what top speed would be. GPS showed the speedo to be about 2 mph faster than actual. I hit 1 bump and heard a screeching sound from the rear not sure what it was. Tires do not have any marks on them.

I velcroed my GPS to the ID plate and went out around the neighborhood. 30 on speedo reads 29 on GPS. It's wet right now but when it drys out (if) I'll take the trike out and see what the readings are at various speeds. Rear end seems a little stiff. Anyone change rear shocks out? I've got the tire pressure down to 13. I need to get a new gauge to really set it accurately. My neighbor runs his Corvette in road races I think he's got a more accurate gauge I'll try his later today.

With 30 MPH on my Iphone the speedo says 33. Before the tire it was around 38 at 30. I need to get get a mount for the Iphone or charge up my GPS and use it. Tough riding the trike with the Iphone in 1 hand.
I'm around 2,800 RPM at 45 MPH. I'm trying to keep it below 3,000 RPM until it's broken in.

Faring is on and nothing hits. No need to cut or raise anything. Now to start riding.

Those should work out fine if your rim is 7" wide if your rim was 8" or wider then I would be concerned the Seals not hold and the seal breaking when hitting potholes or whatnot. Alleyoop The rim is 6 1/2" wide.

I did notice the wheels are stamped 6 1/2 X 12. Even the stock tires are stamped 7" wheels. Should I be looking at getting 2 7" golf cart wheels?
