I post my videos on YouTube and use the "Tube" button when I post a message here. It works just like posting a link or image in a message on this forum.

Welcome to the forum, I love your scoot.
For looks and practicality, how 'bout a matching top box?

Lemme go at this from different angle.
Which forum member has (or had) the oldest (among the membership) Chinese scooter?

I was just wondering, if some Chinese designer somewhere could take credit for the 150cc sport scooter body every scooter mfg/distributor is copying.

Great video! I'm curious - where do you have the camcorder mounted? Looks like you have some nice roads but you could use some more twisties and some hills. Thanks for sharing! I took a 1.5" dowel and strapped it to my floorboard. On the right end I drilled a hole vertically and inserted a 1/4" 20 threaded rod with a nut and washers holding it in. I screw my camera to that. The twisty and hilly roads are a bit too far from me to take the 150cc. Getting there would be a tour in itself.

I went from 17g to 14 sliders and it put me right in the sweet zone. A longer belt can help get a few mph on the top end but if your already at the max that the variator will travel then you will loose a couple mph because the longer belt will not be pulled as deep into the clutch pulley. I don't know if my variator has any more travel in it or not. A longer belt is cheap enough to try out anyway. Someone really needs to do a tutorial or something about the weights. Sounds like a job for you Zug.

One thing that may be skewing my roller upgrade results, is that the stock rollers had some major flat spots.

I am pretty pleased with the way my scooter drives around town. I'd like a little more top speed for when I hit the country back roads. The 13g rollers give good acceleration and a good 45mph cruise in the city. I'll have to experiment with the other variables.

I understand what weights do, I simply wanted to know why is it many other 150 riders are seeing such high rpms at top speed. Or rather, why do their scooters must attain such a high rpm to get to 55mph when my scooter does not. I was wondering if I could get more performance out of my scooter because I have so much "head room", so to speak, leftover. My reasoning was that, as I have read on forums, that peak hp on the gy6 150cc engine was around 7,000-7,500 rpm.
The lighter weights I installed made for good acceleration but put the cruising rpms too high.

Yup, that's what I meant. But, I also was wondering if I there was a way to raise the top end rpm to 7,500 and increase top speed to 60mph while keeping my around the town revs where they are now.

yes when I had 11g it revved easily. I am sure I coulda hit 8,000 rpm but I didn't get to a 55mph road because I didn't have them in there long. I didn't like putting around town at 35mph with screaming 6,000 ish rpms. I didn't like the constant vibrations and racket. Besides, I could tell it was gonna reduce my top speed. So now I have 13g rollers and it is a nice compromise.

Here is an old picture of my scooter. I don't have the trunk anymore because the scooter got knocked over. I now have a Staples crate instead. I replaced the stupid mirrors with bar-end mirrors. I also removed the decals. The scooter has 13" wheels.
