Valve Stems

I used a towel in between the rim and c clamp instead of a piece of rubber but heard of people using a small piece of wood too! just to protect ur rim from getting scratched! I just used a pair of pliers to pull new stems through instead of buying a stem puller worked pretty good, I used a 5inch c-clamp but a 6-8inch would of worked better! it was a tight fit on rear wheel with the 5inch clamp. Hope this helps!

speedracer I know this is a thread from scootdawg but has good info about the valve stems and pics to help u get the idea of how it works! scootdawg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=steeringissue&action=display&thread=21635 I used the .453 diameter 1 and 1/4" long stems got them for $3 at Auto Zone I have realized on my scoot having the 12" front wheel and the 10"rear caused a problem the 1 and 1/4" stem fine for the front but a little to long for the back rim ( hard to get air chuck in) but I will replace the back one with a shorter one soon. Defenitly better then the originals! My scoot was only 3mths old and already had cracks and looked like the brass elbow was separating and were always losing air, with the new ones been fine no air loss and I feel much safer knowing I got better stems on then the OEM's!

My Bali 250 I saw recommends class GL-3 gear oil. I have had a hard time finding class GL-3. I am using class GL5 right now but read it could do damage? Does anyone know a Good GL-3 Gear Oil to use?

I was too scared to try it the first rain I got caught in too Bashan the guys at autozone told me not too. but if Jr uses it and has no problem should be ok? Guess jct842 said the shields are 15$ Im not sure on that, think hes talking about helmet visor? Im talking about the Windshield

I got caught in a big rainstorm on way home today! Couldnt see nothing second time I got caught in rain (first wasnt bad), but couldnt see nothing trough the windshield! The first time I went to go buy some Rain X, but it said something about not use on plastic so didnt want to risk messing up the nice Chinese windshield. LOL So been just using spray Nano wax on it when I wax scoot, but still dont help! I thought I read on here where I believe it was Dr. Jr. that he uses Rain X, Is it safe to use on the plastic Chinese Windshields?

ScooterRider are u going by the speedo on the scooter? it is at least about 10mph off! well mine I thought was only 5mph off as when I drove by one of the street mph meters I was going 25mph and said I was doing 20mph! but once I got my GPS mounted It starts at 5mph off then gets to being like 12mph off! like when Im running 60 mph on GPS it will say 72mph on bike, but 55mph GPS is 65mph on bikes speedo! so if u are doing 90mph on ur scoots speedo u r really doing about 75mph GPS

I just got the Tom Tom GPS mounted, but had my Bali MC-13250/YY250T-2 to 65mph GPS (that was about 77mph on China Meter) and I still had plenty of throttle left could of easily hit 75mph, I think Im almost at 1,500miles, and I weigh about 120lbs.
