We are a new Scooter Club here in Indianapolis. Our focus being on Japanese and Euro (Honda, Yamaha, Piaggio/Vespa, Genuine Buddy/Stella, Lambretta, All State, and Cushman). Weekly meeting spot is: Every Wednesday (pending weather) 7pm Chatterbox 435 Massachusetts Avenue Indianapolis, IN We leave at 8pm for an inner-city ride with a destination of a dinner spot. LOVE IT! My wife has the same bike and I saw her exhaust was starting to rust. I talked with my Bud who recommended VHT Flame Proof header paint and not BBQ paint. A couple bucks more but it works. The stuff is silica ceramic and the trick is the surface MUST be clean. A trip to the media blaster and the steel was virgin. Wiped down the whole thing with rubbing alcohol like I was using prep-sol (one wash / one dry towel) while wearing plastic gloves and followed the instructions to the letter. Curing cycle is 10 minutes at idle and 20 cool-down followed by 20 minutes idle and 20 cool-down and 30 minute ride. We used platinum (5 colors to choose from) for the exhaust and black BBQ paint for the heat shield, a reverse of the original look.

NICE! I understand your fear. I bought an exhaust system this past winter for my race scooter. The material used was HQ and the welds were perfect - the mount was not! It too was stainless but had SS tubes welded to the support rod that were at odd angles that made me feel like I was taking an intelligence test and failing poorly. A guy at work cut it apart and re-welded it into something workable. It's great that your on target with jetting.

I'm sorry to break the flow of positives here and KARMA too. This place has been is business for a decade, but you wouldn't know it. Their web site looks like it was done by a 13 year old and their service department . . .
Let me tell you, I needed a regulator and their site said they had the one I needed in stock. On Friday, I thought I would take an extended lunch and drive across Indianapolis and pick-up this needed part. They had a sign on the front door that said PARTS and SERVICE Use Back Door, Around back, a roll-up door was open and I saw 30 to 40 scooters in some state of dissemblance. A bearded young man said "who's next" and it was me. I showed him the part I needed and he disappeared for a minute. When he returned, he had my regulator, which was not in plastic and looked used (fingerprints / discolored plastic) you get the picture. I was charged more than list price and could not wait to get out of there. I guess my motivation to write this story stems from my intuition, which was right. Friday night, a week to the day, that regulator failed as I rode home in the dark. Luckily, Tinkerbelle was with me and she rode side-by-side, shining her "love light" and getting me home safe. BUMMER HUH?
