I posted my setup on another board. I used the part below which I separated and only used the ball. So I used the GPS mount and pressed in onto the ball which I mounted in a fixed position on the handlebars. I don't have an issue with sun, I turned up the brightness and regularly use this as my speedo. I found this attachment from GPScity for $5 + $2 S/H which has a removable ball (17 mm) Model: Garmin Nuvi AMPS Adapter Mount Part No: 010-10969-00 Read more: scootdawg.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=tipsandtricks&thread=53465&page=1#ixzz26YQUhDOW

I used dish detergent to both clean the rim bead area and mount the tire after watching several people on line use it to mount the tire. I had some work it's way out after the tire was mounted but it worked great. I think the wheel cleaning with a scrubbing sponge is really the key to get any light corrosion or debris off the surface.

I have a Peace Sports 50 cc and I was looking at light bulbs to ID them to be able to change to LED lights. I saw a circuit on the harness that I'm guessing might be an unused license plate wiring circuit. If so I was thinking of using it to wire a light strip into my trunk. Does anyone know what it's really for?
