Having a scoot with a 170cc BBK. Deristricted intake and exhaust plus performance ignition.. I was thinking that I may need an oil cooler this summer to protect the engine. But since synthetic oil keeps its viscosity and performs well at high temps. Maybe it would be just as advetageous as having an oil cooler..After break in with conventional oil. Give me your thoughts. TIA. Mak.

Victory's are great bikes. I rode a couple back in 1996 and was quite impressed. At the time I had a wide glide which was lots of fun. I do not know why the Victory's are not as popular as the hogs. The Harley mistique I guess. Good post. I wish victory would make some scooters. We need more American made scoots.

The HP is more than the linhai 300 (275cc).. It should be a fast scoot if the ad is correct. I wonder if yamaha will use this engine.

You are a lucky man Bum. I had a 95 wide glide and loved it. I installed a crane316 2b cam and lots of screaming eagle upgrades. I had it up to 120mph with more to go. You will love it.

I am shopping for a new belt and found that Gates has a standard powerlink pl20 and a powerlink premium ve pl30. I am wondering if the pl30 is worth paying a few dollars more and would last longer than the pl20. Have any members tried both?

Mike--- Here is a link to the muffler I bought. www.ebay.com/itm/330819542417?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649At the time of the video I was running a 115 main jet and very open air box. Orange CDI and Coil. I now have the 170 BBK installed with hotter cam and big valves. All of the extra pollution plumbing and wiring removed. I am running a 133 main jet [ drilled with a #55 bit} I have a very open air box and the jetting is about right in this very cold weather. It may be too rich when the weather warms up.

Will do Alley. I stand corrected. No offense intended. I was under the impression that the two forums were connected. My bad.

Thanks for the tip Alleyoop--I did not know there was friction between the two forums. I got my 170 bbk installed and want to thank this forum for all the help and nowledge attained. I took it out to the highway today and ran it at 55mph Gps for about a half mile. It still had more power and Rpms but I don't want to take any chances and brake it in to hard. It was 32degrees out and a cold ride. Faster accelleration and less strain on the engine was apparent. I am running a drilled 133 main jet. Opened up factory air cleaner. Stainless suzuki straight thru muffler. And performance head. Valves. And cam that came witjh the kit. I used a rotary file in a high speed drill to mill a couple of spots in the crankcase so that the bottom of the 63mm OD cylinder would slide in easily. It was a fun project and am looking forward to warmer weather and some fine tuning. I got the kit here for $100 www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0077CW6GU/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00My kit came with a performance cam that is not shown in the listing. I don't know if this was a mistake by the seller or if they all come with the cam. I had to buy a non emission valve cover as the kit is the old style head without the emission junk. $20 on E-Bay.
