The only diagram I have is wrong. It shows the headlights running off the same circuit as the battery.
But on this bike the headlights (and taillight) are always on when the engine is running. That's what the fifth wire is for. On the original regulator the wire is red and white.

What about the wiring? Is this the way it connects?
Green - Ground (from stator) Yellow & Pink - AC from stator Red - DC to battery Black - to headlight/taillight/speedometer (always on)
The thing is, I bought a R/R on ebay. I pulled the black wire from the connector and soldered a new connector onto the wire, thinking it must provide power to the headlight circuit.
But when I ran the bike I got something like 18-20 volts at the battery and 0 volts at the black wire.
Either I got the wrong part, or I hooked it up wrong. I'm trying to not make the same mistake again.

Thanks to Alleyoop I was able to get a new stator in my Scout. Unfortunately, it didn't solve my problem (sometimes I wish I knew what I was doing). The bike is a chinese scooter from 2010. The engine type is 153FMH. They are no longer being sold. Next I want to replace the rectifier/regulator. It has 5 wires - the 5th wire is for the headlight circuit. Any suggestions? Third one down on this page, maybe? www.scooterparts4less.com/web_gas/150cc250cc_Rectifier.htmThanks. Attachments:

It looks right. I'll give it a try.
Thanks, Alleyoop!

I'm looking for a replacement 8-pole, 5-wire stator for a 110cc Fly Scout. It's a chinese scooter from 2010. The engine type is 153FMH. The bike is no longer being sold. Does anyone know if a stator for GY6 engine might work? Except for the connectors they look virtually identical. What about the voltage outputs? Are they different for the different stator models (50cc, 125cc, 150cc)? Thanks! Attachments:
