So I have a #85 jet from stock 70something. I installed a cheap free flow filter. Its loud as screw....
But while being loud it lets me hear the engine more precisely, and I noticed a BIG soud difference at full throttle.
When revving its normal sounding, half way its normal sounding. During the transition from 75% to 100% it gets instantly super loud as if I just opened the exhaust or something. Also I notice barely any, if any speed or rpm gain.
Am I too lean? When I decelerate quickly it "sneezes" a little when its about idle. hesitates a little at take off.
When its cold (Denser air) outside it sneezes a little more. Like one or two.
When its hotter out. I don't notice it. Hesitation is a little less.

I thought the drive boss was a piece of metal the variator sits on. It can be restricted or worn? Can someone fully explain the drive boss and its purpose and how to make it better please?

I went for it and it works. Just needed slightly heavier weights. I got 4g sliders... Too light, wastes gas by the engine running at a higher rpm. I mixed in stock (6.3g) with the sliders with success.

I don't know what caused the scrape in the belt, but its not getting worse. Wasn't that deep of a scrape. I replaced the belt and no problems ;D ....... For now  |
