Thank you for the reply Alleyoop, I have not altered anything as it was running then just started to die and has not run since. All I have changed is electronic. So should I now take the flywheel off and have a look at the key? Cheers again for your help, Baz......................

Hello all,
Gatekeeper I have tried what you said and with fuel put in via vacuum inlet it still does not try to fire and compression seems good and there is a strong spark at the plug and there is fuel getting through the carburetor so you mentioned timing as a possibility if so how do I check this without the engine running as I would normally use a timing light with the engine running.
Thank you again for all the help being given,
Cheers,
Baz....................................

Hi all, I have a 2008 peugeot sum up scooter with a gy6 125cc engine, which was running then just died. I thought fuel but the plug does get wet and there is a good spark I have checked the valves gaps and they are fine but still it will not try to fire up, so replaced the cdi also the auto choke but still nothing and the compression seems good. I have now run out of ideas so If anyone can give me some info as what might be wrong?. The problem here in the Isle of man is that we do not have any shops that deal with Chinese engines Cheers for any help given, Baz........................
