Just wanted to give a shout out and thanks to the posters and admins on this forum for all of the help in keeping the scooters and bikes up and running.
I own a 2012 Jonway YY250T that I think has the Vertical engine. NONE of the "real" (major branded) motorcycle repair shops will touch a Chinese clone.
I blew a rear tire a couple of weeks ago and using the photos and threads in the Forum, I successfully removed my rear tire and got a new one installed and replaced it all by myself. A HUGE sense of accomplishment considering I am very new to the "fix it yourself" thing.
The only real problem I encountered was the Forum post said the rear wheel was held on by a 24mm nut, so I bought a 24mm socket, and come to find out mine was only a 21mm, so I was a bit frustrated that I did not have the correct tools at my disposal at the time I need them, but that was a minor issue.
One HUGE kudo to the post that suggested that I use an impact driver to remove the rear wheel nut. I guarantee that without an impact driver (I bought a new one just for the task) I would never have been able to get the rear nut off, and replacing it with the impact was a breeze.
I am now facing a new challenge with the scooter, but I am going to create a new post to address this new issue.
Again, thanks Scooter Doc Forum for all the help.
Aloha from Hawaii.
