Hey clonedrone,,what oil are you running lately?,,, I sell ALLOT of oil. I use what I get for free, Mobil 1 racing, Gibbs dino and synthetics and Maxima Dino and Synthetics. Joe Gibbs Driven has some separation issues since Coach sold out to Comp Cams. Mobil 1 is consistant Maxima has big time stepped up there game in the high end Auto racing oil market, at this time I think its the best. I am good friends with a very Notable builder who runs the Dyno rooms at Amsoil. I have known John Klotz most of my life, they brew there own, I represented for them in the IRL series and provide a lubricant for the Alcohol motors.

1000 miles I concur. I use Rotella T6 5w40 because of those additives! Psssssst, Rotella took the good snit out a few years ago. used to pour out Motorex and replace Rotella in the Factory KTM's until they took the good stuff out ie. High levels of Zinc, Phosphorus and Sulfur.

The rule of thumb is 1,000 miles. As you've discovered Richland Petroleum (Valvoline) bottles NAPA so even a cheap dino oil is still a quality lube. 1,000 miles assures that all the bits are bedded in before putting in a slippery concoction like synthetic. I learned something else too, between you and me. There are only 3 companies actually producing synthetic oil. Everybody buys from them and mixes in their own brew of additives which explains why Amsoil is wildly expensive and NAPA is cheaper. It's not the base oil it's the secret herbs and spices separating brands. U sure bout this? U referring to Domestics correct?

Ditto on the above. I have a yosh complete system on my CRF50. Its throaty and thats about it. Current systems are outsourced. The only way I could afford the system was to trade the road rep a RMZ250 display piston for a CRF50 display system. Looks very cool if you can justify $$$ to coolness

it was an article i read on the internet about 6 months ago,,,let me see if i can pull it up and post it here,,,,i personally thought those old dinosaurs ran out of steam at about 7-800 myself,,,but i may be wrong I'll help ya out busting this myth. actually going to be funny if I make it through this without being called a Bull Snitter. I have been involved in high end two and four wheel motorsports the better part of my life. I currently sell and draw Ti Lollipops for a living, there are pret much only two Mfg's in the country that Mfg High end Ti, one in the West and here one in the East. I already know back in the 60's or early 70's making 5.399 hp per CI in a Iron Normally Aspirated motor on gas never happened, But I thought I'd check round the hood on this. I live in the north end of Randleman, out the back window down the hill and over the creek is Camp Victory Junction, Petty's. The Petty Museum is in the middle of a move from Randleman to it original location in Level Cross (Home of the Petty's) or better known as Petty's Garage, a two gas station crossing. I'm not family friends or Buds just acquainted as a occasional customer. Mr Petty is normally only in the office on Wednesday's in between races to autograph customer memorabilia. Mr Petty debunked the myth with a laugh he would have liked half that 2,300 hp. Mr Petty does not like to be referred to as the "King" and will never sign a autograph as the King, There is only one King and he aint it. according to him. Then my way home from work is another customer Petty's ol Drag race buddy, I'll just call him Roy, still operating a drag race school Roy is a piece of work. Roy laughing indicating the same, His Pro-Mod dragsters are only doing like 2,500 hp to date. Supercharged. Then I though i'd call one of my mentor's, The winner of the 1972 Top Fuel World finals, I'll just call him Waldo. He's retired in Wilkesboro now. Waldo racing top Fuel in the Sixties and early Seventies has just a little knowledge of Hemi's totally myth busted. so there ya go, believe it or not.

The original hemi 426 test bed engine made over 2300 hp on gas ,,astounding,,it didn't last long,,,,,petty was blasting around daytona in a new car,,making good numbers then they got it into final livery and ran it again and it was slower???same car same gas same driver,,,what gives??,,,it was the decals,,,,they clearcoated the car and it was back to being fast again,,,i liked it then,,,to much of a business now ,, Wow! One of the finest urban legends I have ever heard. All iron, Normally Aspirated, on Gas making 2,300 hp? lmao! What may you think I do for a living? Hey OOP! give this guy a Pos/20 on my location.

to be honest i don't know why they have the badges on the car,,,all the cars couldn't be more remote from a passenger car,,they all run ford pattern rear ends (or close to all) with the currie 9 inch,,,they were faster in the seventies,,,when they had vin #'s,,, petty went over 200mph regularly on daytonas back straight,,,but the days of gigantic engines are a thing of the past,,,when corporates got ahold of the game it was ruined Lets not forget that the 358ci Small Blocks of today make mucho more HP than the Big Blocks of yesteryear. More reliable also. Much safer, a bunch of legends are dead because of going 200+ in the cars of yesteryear. Racing was much more fun when Tires were skinny, Drivers were Fat and Steering wheels were Big.

No falling out, nothing wrong with Penzoil in a passenger car, they just do not mfg. a Racing oil. This is easy guy's, there are only Three Oil Co's that Mfg, True Racing Oil.
There is no Motorex in the orange Bikes or Athena Pistons. We used to dump out the Motorex and refill with Rotella before leaving to the venue back before Rotella removed a large amount of Zinc, Sulphur and Phosphorus. Race Cars/Bikes/Motorsports doesn't run on Fuel, Oil or Hot Rod parts it runs on $$$$$$$$

I'm starting to think that any BBK is not a good idea. Are there any kits out there that are worthy and won't overhead a stock GY6 150? They are what you make of them. The little GY-6 has plenty of room for a few more reliable hp. All I see are fundamental's overlooked leading to failure. I have to say the ole "IF I had a dime for every wrench who does know how to install a circlip" Yup Circlip! Put the Craftsmen down and slowly back away from the Scoot.

I have my trike setup to not run high rpms. It will run 50mph at 5100-5200 rpms(just about half throttle) at 60mph 6100-6200 rpms at 70mph it runs little over 7K so it runs 10mph faster for every 10K rpms. The trike came with 13 front and 10 rear wheels I have put changed out the rear TIRES to 3" taller ones. So my Trike cruises at very low RPMS once I get it up to speed then I back off the throttle and it stays at the speed i brought it up to. Alleyoop Good Stuff! Thanks! I'm in the midst of a 61mm BB and a 2mm stroker, and looking for this type of gearing to start with.

The motor in my 150 short case GY6 157QMJ came with 13/40 gears, also on another forum a guy with a regular scoot gy6 157QMJ motor had stock gears of 13/40 and he put in 15/37. I currently have 16/37 and am going to put in 18/36 the tallest gears I could find. I already have the reduction gear pressed on the 18 tooth counter shaft just to cold to be working in the unheated garage swapping the 16/37 out and putting in the 18/36 gears. But as soon as the temps come up to where it is bearable I will put them in. Alleyoop These are the gears I currently have in there been running with them for over two years now. With current gear ratio what rpm is she running at 55mph? what size wheels? Thanks in advance
