There are no uniform laws, only the ones the current leaders feel like enforcing. (immigration - No, ) (freedom of religion - NO) Till now, I've never heard of OUR UNITED STATES suing another state (Az) . Our country is going to hell really quick May be the time to get back on the banana boat and go back to the homeland. I may come with ya. d Here! Here! Very well Stated!

Ok, So we have a thread on "Good Advise" and "Near Death" So Post Up! What Gear Do you Wear while Riding. Me, In my many years of Involvement with Professional and Amateur Motorsports I'm Anal when it come to gear. I have seen enough die or become Paralyzed, so if there's something new or better to protect myself I'm on it On either My Blade or Scoot I wear a Arai XR-7 Helmut, Vanson Leather Jacket, Alpine Star Armored knuckle gloves, Gaerne GP Boots with Ti toes, And from the good people at Leatt a Prototype Neck Brace. The last two States I lived in have no helmut law so the Neck Brace usually gets the most smirks. Whatever. The above combination was proven to keep me from great injury last June. In 40+ years of riding I packed my StreetFighter (RIP) into the underside of a guard rail. as She slid into and under the guard rail I went over the bars cleaning out the Instrument cluster and Bubble Shield, did some kind of Aerobatics with Acrobatics and landed Almost on my feet. fractured two ribs on my right side and a fracture to my tail bone. Didn't plan on being a Crash test Dummy for Leatt but i still walked away with only a couple fractures, Destroyed Bike and severely bruised pride. Oh ya just in case I am a Organ Donor. WEAR YOUR GEAR!! Ride On! Clone

I just talked to JR and he had a better explanation than I did. A leaking float valve...of course, why didn't we think of that. Happens all the time. YA! YA! What you said I did mention this in post #32 Ride On! Clone

i don't think Clonedrone is experienced enough to even distinguish a theory from common sense. do you even wonder why sometimes you smell gas inside your garage where your scooter is parked? it is because some amount of gas leaks from the carb venturi out instead of getting inside the motor, there is a slight angle leaning downwards towards the air filter., it's common sense clonedrone, no brainer. that is the downside of a carburetor, that is why i stick with EFi....100% no gas leak. even if you combine clonedrones brain and Kz's brain, it's no match to me....when it comes to common sense, i'm full of it.. Ya know, I think your here just to tweek and antagonize. I get paid to Ride Bikes and Work races. But I'm not going to go any farther listing my credentials to you. You call me out and you will be humbled to the Gutter in one event. With Your superior common sense you provide absolutely nothing here! Your just full of snit! Just go away! Rinde On! Then too there is a big difference in oil levels depending if it is on side stand or on the center stand. It does not take much to change the level of oil in a gy6. When he first mentioned the smell there was no mention of the oil level growing. Bad gas sticks. I would say that the level was checked the same way as in on the center stand or side stand. right or wrong was checked the same way Rocco did state on a 10 scale the Gas Odor was a 4. I would think with both these indicators that Gas in fact did get from the Carb into the cylinder, past the rings and into the crank case. As recommended I would run it and watch it closely. Ride On! Clone 68 and Sunny I'm Gunna Ride!!

I totally agree, Rocco is just being paranoid, oil may definitely smell like gas because both are a derivative of petroleum. im amazed how this thread has fished out tons of responses but the fact maybe no real problem yet occured. come to think of it, is there a way gas can get into the oil reservoir ? i dont think so, you might all be thinking that gas tank is above the engine and u therefore concluded that the culprit is gravity... so stupet! the first sign of a troubled fuel line is gas dripping on the floor, and NOT oil smelling like gas, gizzzz!!!! dont let Rocco fool us, the next time rocco cry for help, nobody will listen,, i forgot but there was a story about that, its like a parable of a crying boy. lol[/quote]
Not sure to take this seriously its so ridiculous. Are you axing if Gas can get into the crankcase? You don't think so as in you have no idea? So actually you have "0" experience in what your talking about. The Carb is above the motor. Have lots of experience with sticking needle valves, sticking floats, Old Brass soldered floats that sprung a leak etc. all caused raw fuel to enter the cylinder, run past the rings and fill up the crank case.

I put the first 100 Km on my scooter and decided to do the first oil change. A few days ago when I checked the oil, it was way over-full, You guys are missing the point, it's not just a little blow by, it's actually filling the case up....THAT is a problem. IMOAISAHROTO (In my opinion and I'm sure as hell right on this one).YA! YA! What he said. Just put this whole Blow Bye thing to rest. Just taint gunna happen to the extent of a overfill crankcase with out operating issues. And to that degree you would have Washed down the cylinder ruining it in short order. Ride On! Clone

Others on my other motorcycle forum had this happen What's your forum Dave? Anything melting up there? 75 here today.....yep 75....think of me Dave....often. RichOh ya forgot about the Compound Fracture of my right big toe in 95. Metal implant? The orthopedics I work with won't do a compound on any bone without a stabilizing titanium implant and THEN pulling the skin back over and stitching. even small bones like the toe. They'd probably skip the small toes but not the great toe. So was it astoundingly painful or pass out painful? RichI used to treat a bunch of test riders at the Harley Davidson facility in Talladega. About 10 years ago, without prior notice, they laid most of them off just before Christmas....repeat....just before Christmas. Most of them had the option of picking up and moving to the new test facility in Arizona. These guys had kids....families. They couldn't just leave, most of them couldn't go and lost their dream jobs. Nice....real nice. Now they've closed the Arizona facility...it's too hot and dusty. REALLY!? Took a lap with the MX'r with tennies on and caught a root. remove shoe and saw goo, didnt look at it again. Dr was a jerk in the ER, I only found out the bone went thru the nail when he told me he was concerned of the exposed bone. Major pain, when informed of exposed bone was almost pass out pain. Was like he just took some side cutters and hacked off the excess and put a few stitches across the top, Nail is a bit funny growing and looking now thats all. Ya the "Shootist" lost the dream job, Trophy Wife and all.

So with so many mirrors out there why do they all keep making them too short to see behind you lol? I have only enjoyed them on my Street fighter. (RIP). Tried several different bar bends until the Renthal Road bars became available in the States. Vision was excellent with the Renthals, Had the folding harware on the mirrors for when parked or transport. I don't think they will work at all on the new Fireblade. I would like to see some pics on a Scoot?? anyone? anyone at all?

Kz, is this the Armorall spray that lays a 'coat' over one's vehicle? Clonedrone, what waxes/polishes do you use? Thanks to everyone else. I DO cover overnight, moisture DOES happen here in Texas, no matter what some western movies like to say. I have a Plethora of Mothers and Meguires products. I find the Best for the Scoot and Fireblade Plastic for UV and especially Bugs. First is Protect-All, developed originally for RV's, Great UV protection and the Bugs fall right off with a water wet paper towel. Next is Plexus does pret much the same thing as Protect-All, A Polish spray a little bit on and buff out, Easy, Easy, Easy. Both are a bit pricey, most M/C dealers will stock both. I'm fortunate enough to grab samples at the Trade shows. Ride On! Clone

Been thru the ringer myself. Thrown to the curb after 20.5 years of service a few years ago. Got the call on thanksgiving day. Was all about the bottom line. Lost most of my Left Middle index finger on the job back in the early Eighty's. Stich it up, put duct tape on it and went to work. Two hours of intense deep Left Shoulder surgery in 02. 90 minutes of Left knee surgery in 09. Oh ya forgot about the Compound Fracture of my right big toe in 95.
Retreat fall back, regroup and find something else to do. I'm a firm believer that this is the land of opportunity. Ride On! Clone
