No Bashan, it does not shift OK. I put the original variator back on and it still revs out of control. It starts out okay sometimes. I take off fine then it starts to idle too high. If I stop at a light the scooter wants to take off without me hitting the gas. I have also found that when I start her up and let her roll backwards, the idle goes up then too.
I have not found any loose vac lines.
Any ideas?

Okay Doc's.
Is it possible that a variator can cause the idle to fluctuate? I changed mine from stock to a so called Racing Variator with 5grams.
I thought it could be the carb but after trying two different ones, I can not get the idle adjusted right. I sounds great until I rev her up 1 time. Then it all goes crazy.
