Tires and brakes are normal maintenance things, so I don't really count those. The fork seals, that's different. I'm going to ride it today and see how it responds. If it's smooth and clean, I'll take it, otherwise...

You can't take points/bones. You should only be able to give them. I've seen people use the negative side to totally murder someone. Figuratively speaking of course...

There was a study done a few years ago on a 'new' brake system. It stopped the vehicle in less time and distance than normal. Here is the Patent for it. I saw a demonstration of it a few years ago. Very impressive. It makes ABS look silly. Emergency Brake Technologies Inc. |

244 clone.
Shot carb cleaner directly into the intake and tried to fire it up. It should at least have given me a few seconds of run, but nothing. It cranks but nothing. New coil and plug.
Timing? (I hope not)
Anything? Anyone? *crickets in the background*

Ok, an update on the Nighthawk.
It's actually got 43k miles on the clock.
It needs brakes, tires, Valve cover gasket,all 4 turn signals(broken by his child), front fork seals.
And a good bath. That will have it running and safety checkable.
A tank of seafoam won't hurt either.
A couple of minor dings. And I need to replace the clutch lever. It's bent.

Oh yeah while i was fixing , this thing came out of the bike, do you have any clue of what is it?  The picture is so small it's difficult to tell what that is. But it looks like the intake manifold. Can you give a larger picture of it? |

Honestly, I think the guy got scared off of it. He doesn't seem like he really knows how to ride and I think he almost killed himself and just wants it gone.
Total cost will be around $800 to get it legal and current with new tires and a tune up. So, Less than a grand for it.
