As an experienced rider, the most important thing I learned - trees don't move. What? I don't think so. I've seen trees jump right in front of people. Big ones too.

You might have crud in the tank also and it builds up in the carb and blocks the fuel. Clean your tank, lines and carbs.

I'd love to have one of these. I'm on the list too. Too bad corporate America totally hates it.

What it looks like means nothing. Get one that will keep your brains all in one place for the EMS crew. Makes it MUCH easier to put you back together at the hospital.

60% of cagers are blind. 35% are busy texting. The other 5% are bikers with their bikes in the shop.
and ...

Yep, Stealers... I mean aHEM... DEALers can charge whatever they think they can get away with. I've been in the Honda dealer here looking for different items and when they quote me a price, I show them the same thing for MUCH less online. I always tell them, I'd rather support local business but if you try and charge me a crazy price, then I'll just go online. I'm not in THAT much of a hurry for it.

So somebody wrecked my scooter and now the electricals don't work (headlight, taillight, blinkers, fuel gauge, dash lights, etc.). What should be my starting point on fixing this problem? Thanks! Ok, So I'm left to ask the obvious questions here. 1. Who is 'Somebody'? 2. Why did you give them the key? 3. Can they afford our services? 4. What's for dinner? And most importantly; 5. Why would you let your scooter date somebody you never met?

Sounds like the bearings inside the starter are bad. If so, there's nothing you can do short of rebuilding it. Far far cheaper and easier to get a new one. It should be almost silent.

Everytime I hear a whine it's a teenaged girl with a long list of complaints. Most often it's because she doesn't think she should have to do the dishes. Try throwing some money at it and see what happens....

I seem to recall Rich saying something about hiding a kill switch somewhere on the bike. I saw one in the video you posted. I'm not sure if he ever did install it, but it doesn't sound like it's a problem with you getting a solid CLICK when you hit the start button.
Take a big fat wire and bolt it to part of the engine where the starter is and the other end to the neg side of the battery. Then try and start it. If it is a ground issue, that will make it obvious.

Well, I'm glad someone from here got it. Now tell us what it is or is not doing. Check the battery? Fuses? Fuel?

Get a 12 guage wire and run it straight from the battery to the plug. Hit the starter and tap the wire to the battery. If it tries to start then you know that you have a bad something between those two points.
