WOW..you are just begging that one guy that lurks around here to fight! LOL
All in all Japan is the leader in most aspects of technology and know how to build vehicles, computers and pretty much anything else. Their cars and bikes run well but are mostly of a homely sort and in my opinion not worth the tradeoff. If I had the capital Id buy a bunch of Japanese and China scoots and transplant the motors into one another so that the scooters ran as well as they looked and sell them. In the meantime ill keep wrenching on my China scoot because its easier than cleaning puke off a Helix.
We will probably find out one day that when we get to Mars that the japanese have already wired it for WIFI ;D

Depends largely on your weight. Im 250 and find that 4.5-5gr are good for me. 6gr are what many use. If you drop to 5s and your not a heavyweight youll get some really good acceleration but RPMS will be way too high. Go with sliders and you will get more speed than with the same weight rollers. I like to tune my RPMS to stay between 6800-7800. There is a tradeoff between acceleration and RPMS. Tune for wicked takeoffs and high rpms =low life expectantcy of the motor. A good balance will give you some performance plus some extended engine life.

Thats the problem with the internet. it can make any garage operation look like a 500,000 sq ft business! You just never know.

My performance variator has more play between the boss and the variator than the stock variator. Is there a + or - for this tolerance?

27gs is ok but your rpms are still going to be a bit high if you got a tach.

Whats the total weight?
If these sounds were not there prior to the change then re check your work.
If all looks well it coulod just be the added rpms equaling more vibrations..

It wont blow up. Unless you are 225 pounds plus i doubt you need anything less that 6gr. The past 2 scoots Ive bought new were 2013 TaoTao and a Znen and both came with 5 gr rollers. Some of the older models came with heavier weights. Theres no way yours came with 12s...thats 150 territory.
I weigh 250 and run 5 gr sliders and iots perfect. If yours is slow you may have 7 or 8's in there. Take 3 out and youll rev way too high.
CVS weighed mine until i got a scale or you can visit the nearest "hood" and anybody can weigh them for ya ;D

You can but I bet the rpms will be too high. Just get a new set they are cheap. Pharmacy can weigh yours so you know what came stock.
