your pulse coil is triggered by the raised magnet on the flywheel (very basic). I have seen on the kymco's in relation to the keyway the trigger magnet is in a different spot (knocking off crank position) pull the cover and the fan and snap a shot of the position of the keyway and pulse magnet.
I had a guy call me looking for a flywheel for a two stroke. His center hub broke when they welded it back on it was out of position and it would not run. The flywheels I have are for 4 stroke GY6 50 and 150cc. I did not have the parts he was looking for but did help him figure out why he was destroying stators and had a no start.
You might try to beef up the wires to the starter, engine, solenoid, grounds and battery.

Make sure the battery, starter solenoid and connections are good. Then look at the starter, if it is the starter. I hate to say it dig in your pocket some more and buy a stater. Countless posts like this pop up end results they dig into there pockets for defective parts.

I would keep the Koso, put back the stock contra spring 835 belt. Now keep in mind what is going on inside the cvt. The crankshaft is spinning, centrifugal force pushes the rollers away from the center of the variator. The heaver the weights make pushing the variator opened at lower rpm, lighter weights need more rpm to push the the rollers away from center. With that said increasing rpm gives you more off the line power/speed and the umf to pull the hills. A 120 ponder does not need that much rpm to get up and go. A big heavy guy/load you need the extra rpm of the crank to pull the load. The faster the crank spins you get power from momentum transferred to the wheel. So your a big boy lighter weights. check this outI hope this helps . John

did you notice a difference in off the line pull and or rpm? John I'm going back to the 1.5k spring. I need to know. The belt seemed loose and it was but only for low end. Changed spring much better. I'm at the 13 gram and 11 gram mixed sliders. How much do you weight? John

They do not list in that numbering system. They are just listed as stock cam.

I like the reverse bits, when they bite they back the screw/bolt out.

I was going to suggest the 835 being you don't have 10 cvt cover bolts. You say you have 9 was one missing (the tenth) or did you maybe count an extra bolt some how.
