I do not have any kick-stand switches.
If by "killswitch" you mean the toggle on the right handle, did that, and if it is off it will not turn over, so don't think that is causing anything...
When jumping the solenoid it sparked (on the screw-terminals), and cranked... Is it possible it is the solenoid?
Also my turn signals have been out for quite some time
Don't have a multimeter. AAAAAAAGH!

Out of the blue my scoot stopped starting. Never had a problem b4.
It will crank (elect. starter) just fine. Bot will not start. With kick start it just rolls over and does not catch at all.
Tried:
Jumping Solenoid, Kick starting, and changing out plug, CDI, and plug wire.
Symptoms: Jumping the solenoid initiated the starter with the same results as pushing the start button. No spark when checking by setting plug against engine and trying to start.
I have no idea what to do next... Any ideas?
thanks!

Update and a new problem:
Got one rim from scrappy. (Ordered both but they were out of stock for the rear, even though their website did not say so...) Decided to replace the front and wait for the rear...
I took the wheel off and tried to remove the brake rotor from the rim. The mounting screws will not budge. Started to strip out the alum wrench tops on the screws. So I figured would just have to get a new rotor with new screws. No such luck. Can't find the screws anywhere, or get one out to try to match them...
Does anyone know where to get the screws that are needed to mount the rotor to the rim? (Asked scrappy and nope.)
Thanks!
John

Thanks! Oscillate is one of my favorite words. hehe
I will be getting new rims (hopefully) this weekend then. Getting COLD out there!
For some of us, these scooters are our only mode of transportation. My local shop at least charges very exorbitant prices for any service done, so I have to do it myself. Your advice has allowed me to keep doing so for over a year, and I thank you for that.
Cheers! Salud! And appreciated!

Guess my question wasn't clear.
Can the bumpy ride be caused only by the rims being damaged, or is it an indication of a more serious problem?
I do not know how to tell. I don't have the time or place to take it all apart right now. I am planning to buy new rims, but do not want to do that if it will not correct the problem.

Hey peoples, Had a bad night on the scooter... Went down a shortcut in the dark, wasn't one, turned around and a curb jumped out in front of me. Hit it so hard my trunk blew up! Dented the rims pretty bad... Was able to knock them back a bit, added a lot of silicon, and got the tires to hold air. Was planning to get new rims asap because the aluminum cracked when knocked back. Thought it would be OK for a while, but the scoot is riding very bumpy. Seems to be coming mostly from the front. I can tolerate it, and it smooths out at higher speeds, but I am worried. The dents in the rims occurred on the right side only. Question: Is the bouncing happening because of the damaged rims or is it a more serious problem with the forks? And if so, how can I diagnose the problem? If it is a more serious issue it would seem that it would be a scooter-killing accident...

I think I figured it out (with your help of course).
I was questioning why the belt would suddenly want to travel more without any changes to the mechanics. I was totally forgetting that I recently had an electrical problem and switched out the cdi to a high performance one I had as a spare (I stopped using it because it caused the scoot to "burp" when at high revs, like a miss in a car engine). I guess using that HP CDI gave it that extra boost, allowing the belt to travel more. It would increase my speed if the belt would support it, but if it could not then it would cause the belt to travel too high, cause friction, then heat, and the previous belt over-heated and broke.
Make sense?

Thanks Alley, you are right... I thought I was in the clear, but after one day of riding it to work it started vibrating exactly the same way again.
I had an old belt (in perfect-looking condition) from when I took out the old engine and put that one on, rode it to work the next day, and it started vibrating a bit on the way home. (45 minute ride each way)
Today it went right back to the same vibration as before, oscillating in and out getting stronger the higher the revs.
Of course I became worried, and drove carefully home. I just opened up the cover where the belt is and checked the belt. It looks fine. No marks or discoloration. But the whole area is VERY hot.
I don't have an impact wrench lying around so I can't easily take off the outer parts to check inside. I took off the front part to replace the belt, looked fine to me (had to disassemble it and reassemble it.)
Other than that it runs fine... Any help?

And the winner is:
Drive belt!!!!! (ding-ding-ding-ding!) (Kudos to felliot for the right answer!)
Just wanted to follow up and say thanks...
Also, let this be a warning to anyone who has this issue:
CHECK the above before you go out, if you are having a weird vibration.
My drive belt broke into a bunch of pieces as I was riding down the road to work. Was able to fix it same day, but it was a PITA!
Thanks again for the info guys!

Hey folks! Hope everyone is well...
I upgraded the engine from 50 to 72cc and it has been fine... Recently I noticed an oscillating vibration when at high revs. It started weak but seems to be getting stronger and is causing me some concern. (Just got a new job and will have to ride it 45 minutes each way!)
Does anyone have any experience with this occurrence?
Thanks!
J

I am thinking my problem also may be compression related, as in too much of it, as I get kick back from the kickstarter... I am also interested in finding out about this issue.
PEEPS?
