The tubeless cycle rims I have had had the valve stem opening in the middle and the tubes are of to the side, like spoked rims. So the tube wouldn't locate properly.

It's not been below $1.69 here in northern Wisconsin. But, yesterday I did see a guy out on a Harley dresser. No scooters yet due to salt and dirt.

I very strongly suggest you use a momentary switch instead of an off/on. An off/on switch can be bumped and turned ON at any time. A momentary toggle or push button is the safest. Please don't ask how I know this.

Thanks for the info. I live very near two large bodies of water but they aren't salty. Just supply a lot of Lake Effect Snow.

I'll say a prayer for your success. You may have to learn a new trade but I have confidence.

Wish I had a choice. I have to stick with my old V8 powered 4x4 truck for now. 14mpg average.

I'm am also getting a lot from the members of this board. I joined more out of curiosity because I still can't own a scooter and am not sure when I will be able to afford one.

It's great to hear of your success. Actually it's great to hear from both of you ladies. It is so rare to hear of women that can do the job. But then many of the men I know couldn't do what you two have been doing. And some great reporting as well.

I've used foam filters on a couple motorcycles and I used a spray on oil from auto parts stores. Just a light coat after the filter dries.

Most definitely never have the car running. Even a little one's alternator output is enough the make your battery blow up. I have seen that done on a large motorcycle and they have bigger batteries. There's nothing wrong with the size of the car's battery. Just the alternators output.
