Well, I've been scooting round for about a year now. I purchased my scooter simply for a cheap hobby in the hope that I'd like it, and it really has changed my perspective. Doing a lot of driving for a living has stopped me being so interested in cars, and fast ones although fun are barely usable to their full potential these days. But that little 125cc scooter of mine has introduced me to a whole new way to enjoy the roads.
Using it mainly on odd weekends in good weather I've still managed to put 1800 miles on the clock and it runs superb now. I've not contributed much to this forum as I've been taking a lot in. But I am an engineer so hope to contribute more in the future. But I do have all of you here to thank for contributing toward my new found interest. I've liked this Chinese 'trash' so much that I've bought a bike today too.
Here it's called a Lexmoto Arizona. But it's a rebadged Zongshen Arizona. It's sold in many places I believe with different names and with a 125cc or 150cc for the American market.

It will be built in a so so fashion like most Chinese stuff, but am sure it will be very dependable once it's had a bit of love. It's only done 250 miles from new so like brand new.

ZNEN is a quality scoot. Its hard not to love these things. Amazing how such a tiny piston can move it.

For a couple of years Zongshen built the Piaggio Fly 150, they are a first class outfit. Nice bike sj. I know from my 50cc Cub clone that the Chinese can build a solid product. Good luck and enjoy the ride.

What does that weird sign mean where the dollar sign is supposed to go? I looked it up and it says "pound". Is that how much the bike weighs?!

Oh Rich. It means the bike cost him $1767.00 in our money. Still a great deal. How does it compare to the scooter in terms of speed SJ?

I'm sure with an actual gearbox it'll do 70-75 tops,,,,,a great deal at under $1800,,,,but tax, lic,reg probably $1900 usd out the door,,,still not bad at all,,,

It got delivered today and am really pleased with it. I paid £800 gbp for it as it was actually second hand. The previous owner had bought it to practice on before taking their full bike test (you need that to ride over 125cc in the uk).

I've taken it on a quick 6 mile trip and I'm very pleased. I doubt it's much quicker than the scoot in reality, but it's so much more stable at speed. Have already ordered a larger drive sprocket to lower the revs at higher speeds.
Even though it has only 250 miles on the clock from new I don't think it's running right as yet. May need a tweak somewhere. It seems to bog down or miss when I roll on the throttle too much, so it's lacking a little power when it does that. Any tips would be appreciated.

Other than that, I'm chuffed to bits. Can't wait to take it on a good run.

try air/fuel mix adjustment on carb before you mount up bigger sprocket.

The powers that be there and here in the states mandate these machines run very lean for emissions reasons,,, I would imagine running it a little bit richer will wake that bike up nicely

It was running very lean. It took a full turn out on the mixture adjustment to get it about right. However, it's still running poor higher up the rev range, and if i open the throttle quickly from low revs it stalls. As you say, they are apparently set up lean and most people up-jet the carb, so i've got a few jets on order. Unless it sounds like something else of course. It's worse when hot which makes me think it's lean.

And yes I believe you are correct about the lean condition I am opposite my vespa runs great when cold then runs like he'll when hot so I'm rich waiting for jet needle as I type

I would give it more time to break in. My 50cc bike wouldn't go above 30mph when new. Now it runs 50 easily. If your engine is as tight as mine was it may need more time to rock. Playing with the carburetor might be counter prroductive.
