Yes except IF THE CDI is a DC CDI then it is powered 12v when the KEY is TURNED ON. But other than that sameo sameo also if yours has 3 yellow wires they should be tested and they should be putting out anywhere from 40-100VAC.

I have only one plug on my cdi instead of 2 plugs.
I do have a engine kill switch on the handlebars.
None of my wire colors match anything I have found online so far.
