I have the same issue. 1 headlight is dim, the other out. 2 different bulbs, one a 70 watt H1 Halogen bulb that's way to hot for the small enclosure. The other is different. Both only have 2 electrical connections. I ordered new bulbs that are supposed to be the stock bulb for a Lancer 150, but they have 3 connnections (hi/lo beam and ground, and there are only 2 wires from the harness.
Does anyboy have a wiring diagam or picture to show what it should look like under the headlight shroud?
Problem #2, the engine bogs and then makes a loud bank when trying to start it with the electric starter. It's much louder than the usual one that sometimes occurs. It sounds like somebody wacking a metal pole with a steel flat bar. It's hard to find the spot where I can let up the starter and give it some gas without it hanging up and banging. After about 3 short tries, the battery is drained. I've used 2 different batteris and took the starter off and checked it for shorts. Once it starts, it runs ok. I have to carry a spare fully charged battery under the seat for when it won't start by the 3rd try.
I'm going to check the valves next. I'm thinking they aren't opening and compression gets too high for the starter to overcome. The bike runs fine once it starts, but randomly will stall out when I stop. Other times it idles around 2000 rpm and some times it idles around 3,000 rpm. Does anybody have any ideas? I'm hoping I won't have to open it up and check the starter clutch.
Problem 3, when I pull the brake lever, a red light on the dashboard lights up. I thought that was for the emergency flashers. I have a Jmstatr 150 that's nearly identical, and it doesn't do that. I just checked the brake light in back, and it gets only slightly brighter when I pull the lever, but not enough for someone to behind me recognize it. I'm thinking some wires are crossed.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram, or picture to show the wiring for the lights? Also, any ideas about the other issues will be greatly appreciated. I've searched and searched for similar issues, without much luck.
Thanks

PROBLEM #1: Appears someone did some changing and couldn't fix it and gave up. The lights looks like one is running lights and one is HIGH BEAM. But a 71w bulb wow that is a lot of watts, scoots usually come with 35 or 55 watt bulbs.
PROBLEM #2: The chain sound when you try to start it sounds like the starter clutch, getting kickbacks. Do you have a Performance CDI on the scoot? If so that is what is most likely causing the kickbacks. If you have the OEM CDI put that in and see if the Kickbacks stop. If so it is to advanced and what usually happens is the motor many times stops on the compression stroke and it does not have enough power to get past it. Very easy to test is put a jumper on the battery and see if it still kickbacks on the initial start.
PROBLEM #3: Sounds like a bad ground. Alleyoop

If you're sure it's not the battery then it's probably a bad starter sucking up the juice. If you will provide us with some pix of your wiring config to the headlights we can probably tell you something.

I have a Lancer 150, just bought it in fact. Although the Lancer has two headlights they only light up one at a time. The running headlight has a half cover on it. The bright headlight doesnt. The lights arent meant to both light up at the same time. As for the dash board light, mine does the same thing. When I pull on the brake it lights up red.

Yea you need to get ground hi and lo beam wires to each side then Ebay to source 2 dual filament sockets,,,and i'd run led bulbs,,,take very little power and run way cooler

Which kit did you order? Give us a link to it if you can. Did you find your wiring diagram?

Yes, please link to the kit and explain in detail with pictures. I would like to do the same thing to my scooter and this would help me out tremendously.
