What did I just break? Roketa 2008 Catalina Brake Master Cyl By telecaster86 (Read 86 times)

Hi all, first post here, and I am new to scooter repair in general. My landlord brought over this 2008 Roketa Catalina 150cc and I've been teaching myself how to work on it, now it is running, but I figured that brakes are also important. 

I purchased what I thought were some universal L and R brake master cylinders, or at least ones that would work. I am stumped looking at them now because they all seem to have these two prongs for the safetys. I was trying to pry it off the old brakes, and the plastic shattered. I was expecting it to be a plug I would slide onto the two prongs on the new brakes, but maybe this is a different style as it doesn't seem to be a plug but afixed to the old master cylinders? Do I need a different style part, or, can I just solder this together?
