Hey Guys: Here's a link to a web site that features a nice carry all for your bike. www.usawholesalescooters.com/carrypack.htmI have spinal injury and have been kinda looking around. This is one I found while surfing. Theres' also a video which will post later of one that appears to be designed specifically with a wheelchair in mind.

I have been thinking of a way to tow things like my bike with my scoot so this is great. But there's no "home" page to get more info. Do you have the home page of a link to the info

Think you could fix something like that up to put behind a trike to haul a roughly 100lb mobility scooter?

No, I don't think that would be to cool. There would be to much weight to far out on the rear and I bet it would do WHEELIES:) To haul 100lb best bet is to get a Little Mobility Scooter Trailer that you Pull they make them with a ramp to roll the Mobility Scooter up on the little platform then you raise the ramp and lock it(but they are expensive. But if you need one you have to do it if you want to haul your mobility scooter wherever you go. Even if you get another scooter you can still us the Trailer on any scoot, just have to put a hitch on the scoot. Alleyoop

Yeah I was afraid it would be to much, like you said the others just cost way to much $$ for right now, it's a shame they almost cost as much as a trike lol

Thanks, however I found out today that at my apartment complex I can not have a trailer here EVEN if it's attached to my scooter all the time (when I get the trike that is) So. . . The thing I was thinking was this: The metal shelf behind the trike, how much weight could it hold do you think? Cause if I take my batteries out of my mobility scooter it's something like 55lbs + 35lbs for my battery = roughly 90 lbs I found out not the 100 I thought. So would I be able to take the batteries off, put them in my trunk, then put the mobility scooter on the platform? Do you guys think that would work? If so would it be just the standard trailer hitch or does it take a special hitch? If you guys don't think that would work at all let me know either way

Now think about this, How are you going to lift the Scooter onto the Platform? Also the Platform has to be bigger to fit the Scooter. You can do it putting the Heavy Batteries Under the Seat so the added weight would be Forward of the Rear Axle. Then what I would do is Have a Platform built to fit your Scoot, Have the Platform Low about as high as the Rear Axle 6-8" off the Ground then you can get it on and off the Platform much eashier. The Platform I would have them Make it Foldable UP this way when you are not carrieing the Scoot around the Platform is up and out of the way in back and your Complex cannot get on your case. Here is an actual Mobility Scooter Carrier that would be just about the right size it is 44" Wide, the Trike is 40" wide so it will only stick out 2" on each side. It only weighs 46lbs and has a ramp. So all you would need is for a welder to make you a Hitch and make it Foldable Up OR just take it off and keep it in your house when not in use. www.discountramps.com/mobility_scooter_carrier.htmAlleyoop

That's something like I was thinking about, I just wasn't sure if it could work. Would I need to get a different type of hitch? I bet I could find a local welder to do something along those lines for me.

Just get a 2" hitch and any welder will be able to set it up for you. Like the one site aileronjack put up an the carrier yours would not come straight out like that it would come out and then go down and then the hitch would be welded at the bottom. I would think 6-8 inchs off the ground would be low enough so it would not be hard to roll the scooter onto it. But a good welder and you can figure out which would work be the best way to do it.
