I have a 150cc GY6 engine and it has about 700 miles on it. I haven't started the motor for about three months. Over the holidays I decided to try and start the scooter (stored in heated basement) but before doing so I drained the gas tank completely, and pulled the carb apart and removed and cleaned all jets in carb and cleaned holes where jets were and blew out passage ways with air. I checked needle and seat which still look new. I assembled carb and tried to start but while cranking engine, gasoline started coming out of exhaust. I then took carb back off and checked float and needle. I can blow air in fuel inlet and then raise float and can't blow air anymore. Bent the float tang slightly to make float mold line straight with carb frame. Carb is HL IC japan. Put back together and still pumps gas out of exhaust. I have rebuilt many carbs in my time but never on a chinese scooter. Have taken carb off four times and moved float up and down but no help. Has anyone had this problem. Sorry so long but very frustrated.

First question would be did it attempt to fire. If it didn't then your just flooding it. So if did not attempt to fire there are a few things to check. 1. Is the KILL SWITCH OFF 2. Are you pulling one of the Brake Handles 3. Did you try the other brake handle 4. Some have a Safety Switch on the Side Stand (is the Side Stand up).
If all answers are YES, then you need to check if your getting spark to the spark plug. If you have a spare plug just take the boot off the plug on the engine and put the plug in the boot and hold it against the engine and crank it and see if your getting Spark. Alleyoop
